Hi
it's a compiz-related problem, cause it begins when I try to add
compiz-effect (even the weak ones) on desktop. If I disable effects
workspaces applet works well, if I enable effect the workspaces shows
spaces only in one rows.
I choose to disable desktop-effects and so now it works well.

robot, causing a 'SPLASH' balloon to appear. Around that balloon the
screen doesn't redraw anymore until another robot moves into the area.

Effect #3 above [the desktop background image] issue changed a few days

I am running hardy heron with all updates as of today. When I attempt
to add a "shared folder" the information entered is not saved.
System->Administration->Shared Folders->Unlock->Add
After adding desired folders, click 'quit'
I cannot access any folde
In Bug #178397 (which has been marked as a duplicate), further information is
provided.
IMHO this should have a higher importance than 'Low'.

Same problem here, latest up-to date Hardy as of Jan. 5, 2008. Not
storing info on the shared folders and re-prompting to install Samba
each time I right click a folder and select "share".

I can confirm this bug. When run from a command line the following lines
are sent to stderr upon launching shares-admin:

1) it's not really my call, I just hack the window manager; this is something
the HIG people need to figure out. But
2) notificationisation and minimisation appear to me to be functionally very
similar and I don't see why they should both be supported
