I have the same/a similar problem on current Ubuntu 8.04. Evolution
hangs reproducibly when trying to close the program after a
suspend/resume cycle. I remember older versions of evolution hanging on
every sort of network anomaly. So it looks like there is some check for

Apport is now telling me gnome-login-sound has crashed; eventhough I heard
it play without problems. When apport is turned off, this message will go
away I presume, but it makes me feel funny.

It happens with all the filed I've tried to upload so far. I'm sure of

I Ctrl-Alt-F2'd into a terminal to stop it crashing on boot. Then I re-
started the gdm. The system locked up again, but I was able to gain ssh

Sorry about putting so many messages in a row but this is a major
problem for me and I'm sure for many people out there while trying to
find an alternative OS at work. It has been really so many months since
this bug was announced by users but I see no progress about a solution.
