I tried to implement that change myself and indeed this simply change
(see attached patch) solved the problem for me. Now songs without cover
art are displayed correctly (i.e. with no cover art).

I ran into this error after doing an unclean shutdown on my Thinkpad
T400 running ubuntu 9.04. After restarting my machine, I was seeing
errors in evolution and it was unable to load my inbox. The error was:

Once again, I'm amazed how problems can be discussed for over 3 years
with several ideas and propositions without leading to an improvement or
even a solution. ... because there is always the 1 single user (type) or
edge case which could possibly lead to loss of some freedom and
individuality.

I think is a GoogleEarth issue. I have uninstalled googleearth and
googleearth-data (installed from medibuntu) and removed both
~/.local/share/mime and /usr/local/share/mime and gthumb is working as
expected.

When I bring up Evolution the Send/receive button is grayed out and also
in menu. There is no way to send or receive my mail any more. This
happened after I did a repair install of my Ubuntu OS. That is all i
know.

this folder error. A similar bug was found and fixed in Feisty (see bug
#87307); this one was found in Nautilus 2.26.2.

Some files are displayed very incorrectly (parts of pages missing) - they
display correctly in okular and acroread
