I think the behavior Lupe mentioned is actually a feature. I noticed the
same thing while messing around with getting to gdm straight out of
single-user mode, which apparently is so fraught with danger that it's
forbidden (despite me telinit-ing to runlevel 2 first).

I am having the same problem with xchat since updating gtk+2.0 to
2.19.5-1ubuntu3. xchat and xorg use up 100% of the CPU. Downgrading to
gtk+2.0 2.19.5-1ubuntu1 solves the problem.

How much RAM do you have on your machine? While Ubuntu is built to run on low

When I type in password, Rhythmbox repoerts it is wrong id or password
contrary to actual configuaration of LastFM. It worked fine in previous

Aislerot Solitaire - dragging cards causes ghosting effect
I first noticed the above condition.
Checking rhythmbox , I don't have any noticeable effects on playing
music, but with rhythmbox opened it is making the cpu% jump way up.
From 5% to 66%.

disappeared from status area with no discernible way to return them
there. I have purged .gnome, .gnome2, .gconf, etc settings to restore
