No, behaviour in Lucid is completely different.
When you add the files, Brasero gives an error prompt for each file in the
list, then prompts for missing codecs, providing a list of downloadable ones,
gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg, gstreamer0.10-fluendo-mp3, gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly;
(no crashes)

Unfortunately I don't have a way to trigger this.
It just happened as I logged in. Now I added again this applet (since it
was not being recreated, together with the display desktop one, which
crashed too) and it is working correctly.

Ignore the previous comment. Grave is fine for latin keymap, even though
it does not look fully consistent for different belarusian layouts.
Apostrophe is bound to it's special key (to the right of L and ;) so it
is available.

On an up to date version of Lucid Lynx beta I still have this problem.
I have a text description of my layout in the notification area, but it stays

When I install the ATI fglrx drivers I do not have flickering anymore on
my second sreen but I lost 3D acceleration because my card is not
supported by these drivers.

For the records, how do I check if gnome-power-manager receives the key
press events? I'm using the module nvidia_bl to control backlight and it
works correcly with gnome-power-manger when HAL is running.
