Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: evolution
Ubuntu Version: 10.10 maverick
Program: Evolution
Version: 2.30.2-0ubuntu11
Problem: I have had this problem since trying evolution, previous
versions too, with our groupwise mail system. The address book always
quits when going into it
Having the same issue here on the 32 bit x86 version of 10.10. When I am
running Compiz and a new theme is chosen, all the elements correctly
change EXCEPT the window border. The only way to change the window
border is to choose Customize and set it manually to the correct
theme.
Quite annoying
Oh yeah, themes apply correctly if Compiz is turned off and I am current
with the Maverick updates

I figured out that the solution suggest by Maciej Strzelecki, setting

!! It is important that you either restart the system or kill gnome-

If it is still happening, it hasn't brought my machine to a standstill
as it used to do. That said, I've had two re-installs since then, so
that changes the picture for me anyway.
