That wasn't so bad... I restarted, chose awesome from the environment
menu option list at the bottom of the login screen - that produced
awesome, but no gnome, so I restarted, chose Ubuntu Classic - (not the
"no effects" choice).
Note: I also set awesome as my window manager again with gconf in th

In previous versions i could move the minimized programs to have them in my
favorite order (ex. Thunderbird, Firefox, Nautilus).

According to the discussion on the Gnome VTE bug linked, calling
vte_terminal_set_emulation won't work either, unless it happens to be
recognized as a supported emulation mode. "xterm-256color" isn't, so
this solution wouldn't work.
There doesn't seem to be an obvious, clean way to fix the problem
(Note that this only affects checking scoured SVG files for correctness,
not actually achieving the size reduction.)

Natty responds to sound control buttons much faster than in Lucid or
Maverick on my laptop. Could anyone check if this is still an issue in

I have also experienced the same problem on my Sony VAIO (VGN22E), It
happened both in Ubuntu and Ubuntu classic desktop. It was the floating
ubuntu logo and matrix screensavers that I have tried so far.

I can confirm that the same is happening to me. Everything worked as
normal after the initial installation, but since the first update, I
have been receiving multiple keyring prompts. I'm going to try deleting
the keyring, as mentioned above, to see if that fixes the problem.

output is just "segmentation fault"

After upgrading from 10.10 to 11.04, vinagre crashes when I hit the OK button
on the "Choose a remote Desktop". This didn't happen in 10.10.
The weird thing is that if I type the ip manually instead of clicking the
"FIND" button the app runs fin
I'm a KDE user and having just tried Unity for the first time am also
affected by this issue. I really miss this feature. The forum thread
mentioned in an earlier comment implies there are technical issues.
Since KDE seems to manage to implement it successfully, could we look at
how it is implement
Will ubuntu turn to second windows? We need nfs support in nautilus,
tried autofs but this cause only lockups with nautilus.

I did a fresh install of Ubuntu 11.04. Initially I was still
experiencing this problem, however, after a recent update I am now only
prompted to unlock my keyring once after login. Can anyone else confirm
this? I did not apply any other fix besides applying regular Ubuntu
updates.
