[Bug 1113648] Re: Add a context menu entry to create a new blank file
I'm reopening this bug for Saucy since this patch won't work with Nautilus 3.8 which we'd like to add for Ubuntu 13.10 since it fixes numerous bugs and adds back a form of tree navigation. This patch took advantage of a bug that has since been fixed. Nautilus developers prefer that users create whatever templates they want to use themselves in the ~/Templates/ directory. Perhaps we could add a ~/Templates/Text File in /etc/skel/ but that will only work for new users. https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=687139 ** Changed in: nautilus (Ubuntu Raring) Status: New => Fix Released -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1113648 Title: Add a context menu entry to create a new blank file To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/nautilus/+bug/1113648/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1164016] Re: restore type-ahead find
I also agree on this. I used the lookahead as my primary navigation through complex filesystems. I have so many like-named subdirectories that this new feature is dropping my efficiency pretty badly. I was hoping to avoid using any of the cinnamon forks until/unless they became officially embraced by Ubuntu (just for compatibility reasons), but I'm a little stuck. [Bug 1190584] [NEW] Gnome screensaver don't disappear after login - screen hanged
Public bug reported: If my computer is locked and I would like to open it and return back to desktop, screensaver will hang. Steps to reproduce: 1) Lock desktop using standard Gnome3 feature 2) Hit Escape key to raise curtain, place password and hit Enter 3) Now password dialog disappear, but gray dusty background stays. It seems it is only a problem of visible screensaver background, because desktop is still responsive. Mouse cursor is moving, Alt-Tab displays Application switcher, Ctrl-Alt-Delete shows Logout dialog etc. I can even close applications using Alt-F4 shortcut (they disappear from Application switcher), but still I can't see them. They are hiddend somewhere under Gnome screensaver. This issue occure time by time. Maybe something must be launched, but it is very annoying, because I must close my session without possibility to save my work.
