[Bug 1247873] Re: on startup upper panel is black(lower is ok)only on ubuntu 13.10
Hi.. anybody working on this bug? it is kind of annoying bug.. i've been using a workaround.. Ctrl+Alt+F1.. login to my ID.. and run 'DISPLAY=:0 gnome-panel' - if start the gnome-panel from first terminal it is working fine. to automate the above step: i tried to put a shell script on startup to call gnome-panel. But it still show the blank upper pannel. looks like the gnome-panel can only be called from first terminal. this happens after i upgraded from 13.04 to 13.10... -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-panel in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1247873 Title: on startup upper panel is black(lower is ok)only on ubuntu 13.10 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-panel/+bug/1247873/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 837196] Re: Cannot change bluetooth name
Hi Mathieu, In my latest distro, Ubuntu 13.10, there is a field for setting the Bluetooth Friendly Name in the blueman-adapters panel. I think it works, at least on the system I'm using now. (However, this isn't a fresh installation, and I may have performed some work-around last year.) But this was very problematic even last year. Something like: you could set the friendly name in one place, but somehow it didn't *take*, so that other devices would still see it as ubuntu0. Public bug reported: I upgraded from saucy to trusty on my lenovo g505s laptop. After the upgrade, both the physical key and the brightness settings in the gnome-control centre have stopped working. Whatever level of brightness i decrease it to, it always stays on maximum. I'm able to reproduce this only on kernel 3.13. Works as its supposed to on kernel 3.12 ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 14.04 Package: gnome-control-center 1:3.6.3-0ubuntu50 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.13.0-2.17-generic 3.13.0-rc7 Uname: Linux 3.13.0-2-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: fglrx ApportVersion: 2.13.1-0ubuntu1 Architecture: amd64 CurrentDesktop: Unity Date: Sun Jan 12 09:17:00 2014 ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/gnome-control-center.real InstallationDate: Installed on 2013-11-16 (56 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander - Release amd64 (20131016.1) SourcePackage: gnome-control-center UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to trusty on 2014-01-06 (5 days ago) ** Affects: gnome-control-center (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug trusty -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1268252 Title: Brightness settings stopped working after upgrade To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-control-center/+bug/1268252/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
