[Bug 1192101] Re: Fail to expand dialog box

2014-02-20 Thread dino99
Other people have also reported that issue against winetricks (
https://code.google.com/p/winetricks/issues/detail?id=393 )

As that issue is only met when using winetricks (never got it with other
apps), i suppose that zenity cant be blamed, and winetricks have to find
a solution to display/expand its own dialog list.

[Bug 1282527] [NEW] inspecting a folder that contains only hidden files show a never ending 'on progress' ... message

2014-02-20 Thread Javier-puche-u
Public bug reported:

Create an empty folder TEST , create inside a hidden file (.test) Then,
go to the parent folder, you see folders and files, clicking on the
arrow left to TEST to unfold it, will show an on-progress message
(Cargando... in Spanish) instead of showing empty folder or the hidden
file.

Tested on Ubuntu 12.04 completely updated and any previous version.

[Bug 1264547] Re: Apport Hooks Need Update gstreamer0.10 - gstreamer1.0

2014-02-20 Thread Launchpad Bug Tracker
This bug was fixed in the package totem - 3.10.1-1ubuntu3

---
totem (3.10.1-1ubuntu3) trusty; urgency=medium

  * Include the version of libgstreamer1.0-0 in apport reports. Thanks,
Daniel Letzeisen (LP: #1264547)
  * Don't recommend gnome-settings-daemon from the plugins any more; it's not
right to pull in desktop integration bits (the functionality required is
optional and the D-Bus activation explicitly doesn't start the daemon) by
default.

[Bug 1276715] Re: Motorola G Android Phone does not connect

2014-02-20 Thread John Rose
I've now found out why Philip Langdale's ppa
(https://launchpad.net/~langdalepl/+archive/gvfs-mtp) did not work. It also
needs /etc/fuse.conf to be amended: uncomment the line for user_allow_other.
Then logout login before attaching the phone by usb cable. This also works
for other phones using MTP e.g. ZTE V790. So my guess is that it will also fox
bug 903422 (for Samsung phones) any related bugs for other phones.
PS Apologies for leaving part of SRU template in my last message.

[Bug 1282607] Re: snippets plugin broken with python 3.4

2014-02-20 Thread Sebastien Bacher
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. The issue you are reporting is an upstream one and it
would be nice if somebody having it could send the bug to the developers
of the software by following the instructions at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Upstream/GNOME. If you have done so, please
tell us the number of the upstream bug (or the link), so we can add a
bugwatch that will inform us about its status. Thanks in advance.

[Bug 1218322] Re: Can't set keyboard layout change to alt+shift, ctrl+shift, etc.

2014-02-20 Thread Norbert
I have installed today' newest updates on Ubuntu 14.04 and did some
tests in Unity session (see
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Ao5e713Ig9g_dEJrX2NRYlpLWWVzSWxsVXU4ck9HYVEusp=sharing)
- the results are very positive!

Most of keyboard switching shortcuts works as expected (default
Super+Space/Shift+Super+Space, Alt+Shift, Ctrl+Shift, Shift+Shift), non-
latin shortcuts works, shortcuts which contain Ctrl+Shift (for example
Ctrl+Shift+C/V in gnome-terminal) works if layout switching is set to
Ctrl+Shift.

Thank you for updates!
But please do not forget to add them to Gnome FlashBack sessions.

2014-02-20 Thread Romano Giannetti
...and for me, now Alt+Shift switches the indicator but *not* the
keyboard. I have to switch the layout with the applet.

Is there anyone with a link on documentation on how the keyboard is
managed/configured in Ubuntu (for real)? There is a mix of xkbd, gnome-
settings, xmodmap, gnome-tweak, dbus, etc that makes it a multi-
dimensional maze.

[Bug 1282651] [NEW] [mir] gsettings-ubuntu-touch-schemas

2014-02-20 Thread Iain Lane
Public bug reported:

This is our equivalent of gsettings-desktop-schemas, but with schemas
for accountsservice vendor extensions too. It contains shared schemas
for software Ubuntu is developing.

The name is a bit misleading, and we intend to rename the source package
to gsettings-ubuntu-schemas at some point (c.f. the transitional binary
package).

Will be maintained both upstream and downstream by the desktop team.

The ubuntu-touch-sounds dep is going to be dropped before promoting.

[Bug 1218322] Re: Can't set keyboard layout change to alt+shift, ctrl+shift, etc.

2014-02-20 Thread Romano Giannetti
@Norbert, I will try with a new user, but about removing all my hidden
folders... I imagine this is a joke ;-). I have 20+ years of
configurations of my system, ssh keys, applications defaults, qucs and
spice models, vim macros, whatever in it (yes, all of this is regularly
backed up). I *really* prefer using the applet to switch layouts and
waiting for 14.04 or Fedora N+1 than going through a painful piece by
piece bisection of all the dot files.

Which are the hidden conf files that will affect keyboard switching
behavior? Without this information the rest is voodoo.

[Bug 1282718] [NEW] packages should depend on libpango-1.0-0 instead of libpango1.0-0

libpango1.0-0 is a transitional package. Other packages should depend on

Is there any automated way to deal with this change?

[Bug 992303] Re: Cannot play mp3 or ogg files in Rhythmbox after upgrade to 64-bit 12.04 Precise

2014-02-20 Thread Antoine Dalmières
I confirm on my freshly installed Ubuntu 12.04.4 amd_64. This bug affect me.
My music is stored on a NAS mounted via a autofs cifs mount.
It affect my mp3/ogg, in fact, every music file that is not lossless.
I also have the same bug on a freshly installed Ubuntu 13.10 amd_64
NB : I have a dedicated audio pci board (asus xonar dx).
NB : it seems to affect other gstreamer application, as I have the same issue
with totem, but not with vlc.

Find a workaround in my case.
According to
https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/clementine-bugs/LpCK3Y81_q4 (last
comment) it's a option in cifs mount that has changed in 3.7 kernel.
I hadded cache=loose in my cifs options list and now it's OK

[Bug 1262990] Re: Negative unread counts without rhyme or reason

2014-02-20 Thread Ján Neščivera
I can confirm this too (running 13.10 x64), when somebody starts GTalk
conversation with me i get the notification pop-up, messaging icon is
also highlighted, but when i open the chat window it is empty and title
says -1 unread. However in conversation history i can see the mesasge.
Sometimes after a while message appears on top of conversation (even if
title still says -1 unread) When i reopen the conversation window the
message is there too.
