[Bug 1370063] [NEW] webdav thumbnail large file freeze
Public bug reported: When viewing a webDAV mounted share in nautilus it will proceed to download all the files in order to generate thumbnails, including large files. This results in GB's of data being downloaded and freezes nautilus. This even happens if under Preferences Preview a tick is placed at Local Files only and only files smaller than (10MB). From this I conclude that nautilus sees a remote webDAV share as local (or just doesn't check) and that it doesn't check file size (or only checks file size if it already has downloaded/cached the entire file). [Bug 1322925] Re: Copy, paste stops working randomly in Ubuntu 14.04 nautilus
Workaround What I do is this: 1. Open the destination in another tab in Nautilus. 2. Select the files/folders in the original tab. 3. Right click and select Move To... or Copy To... 4. The other open tabs are shown under Places in the dialog. 5. Select and go. Would love to see this fixed but I survive with this workaround. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1322925 Title: Copy, paste stops working randomly in Ubuntu 14.04 nautilus To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/1322925/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1370329] [NEW] systemd's reboot/shutdown programs don't work under upstart
Public bug reported: Installing systemd-sysv replaces upstart's reboot, poweroff and friends. systemd's binaries currently don't know how to talk to upstart to forward the request to upstart. This breaks a transition to systemd as default init which doesn't just change the boot= kernel parameter but installs systemd-sysv. The same problem happens when systemd-sysv is installed but the system gets booted with init=/sbin/upstart. It would be useful if one could do initctl reboot, so that there's always a way to reboot the system when using a different init= than /sbin/init. ** Affects: systemd (Ubuntu) Importance: Medium Status: Triaged ** Tags: systemd-boot ** Changed in: systemd (Ubuntu) Status: New = Triaged ** Changed in: systemd (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Medium ** Tags added: systemd-boot ** Description changed: Installing systemd-sysv replaces upstart's reboot, poweroff and friends. systemd's binaries currently don't know how to talk to upstart to forward the request to upstart.
