Thanks for working on this and preparing the debdiffs. Has the debian
package changed from interest to interest-noawait? Is there a bug in
debian regarding this issue?

[Bug 1834386] Re: Ebooks thumbnails fail in Nemo over SMB

2019-06-27 Thread roussel geoffrey
I know it looks like it does not recognise the image format,
but using this command fixes the issue, in fact i added this command to my
/etc/rc.local so i can keep apparmor up and running, after that it generates
all the thumbnails correctly for the differents formats of ebooks, and it
doesn't display this error message anymore.

[Bug 1834386] Re: Ebooks thumbnails fail in Nemo over SMB

2019-06-27 Thread Jamie Strandboge
(nemo:31811): CinnamonDesktop-WARNING **: 01:08:30.200: Error creating
thumbnail for smb://akem-
hp.local/comics_bds_mangas/Scrooge/Uncle%20Scrooge%20(001-100)%20GetComics.INFO/029%20Uncle%20Scrooge.cbr:
Unrecognized image file format

This suggests that the problem is not due to the apparmor profile (it
happens before the denial). Is the thumbnail correctly generated if you
do: sudo apparmor_parser -R /etc/apparmor.d/usr.bin.evince (this unloads
the policy from the kernel).

[Bug 1726464] Re: Can't easily move the cursor between monitors when the dock is set to auto-hide

2019-06-27 Thread A S
Had the same (or just a similar?) problem:
- auto-hide Dock enabled
- When I move the mouse between monitors the mouse sticks at the (left) dock of
the right screen.

Fix:
- Search for the "Dock" Settings in the Dash(?) (Super key)
- move the dock to the right side of the right monitor

=> No sticking around of the mouse anymore between the screens :-)

[Bug 1834495] [NEW] Calendar name is not persistent after log out (it changes back to default name)

2019-06-27 Thread Amr Ibrahim
Public bug reported:

Steps to reproduce the bug:

1. Add a Google or a Nextcloud account in gnome-calendar (or
gnome-online-accounts)
2. Activate the calendar component in the account
3. Open gnome-calendar and go to Calendar Settings (either from the "Manage
your calendars" button in the app or from the app menu in the top bar of
gnome-shell)
4. Choose a Google or a Nextcloud calendar, which was already setup from step 1
5. Change the calendar name
6. Go back, close the app and open it again
7. The new name is still there
8. Log out and log back in
9. Check the calendar name
10. It's back to the default name

The new calendar name should always be persistent and does not change to
the default name.

[Bug 1551623] Re: package gconf2 3.2.6-3ubuntu6 failed to install/upgrade: dependency problems - leaving triggers unprocessed

2019-06-27 Thread Vlad Orlov
** Description changed:

- When upgrading from 15.10 to 16.04Beta (2016-03-01), this error occured,
alongside many others related to systemd and gnome.
+ [Impact]
+
+ During system upgrades, triggers for gconf2 might activate too early,
+ while some of its dependencies aren't configured yet. This happens
+ several times in a loop and stops the upgrade in the end.
+
+ The attached debdiffs fix this issue by changing interest to interest-
+ noawait in debian/gconf2.triggers file. The triggers will now activate
+ near the end of upgrade.
+
+ In addition, the debdiff for Bionic also contains a fix for FTBFS (bug
+ 1834211).
+
+ [Test Case]
+
+ Triggers for gconf2 are usually activated on changes in
+ /usr/share/GConf/gsettings folder, so the main Ubuntu edition (with
+ GNOME) is most suitable for reproducing the issue. To reproduce it,
+ install that edition, apply all updates, then try upgrading to the next
+ release.
+
+ [Regression Potential]
+
+ None, interest-noawait trigger is known to work well in other packages
+ (comment 31).
+
+ [Other Info]
+
+ Even if Cosmic goes EOL next month, the fix for it might be worth it for
+ release upgrades.
+
+ [Original Description]
+
+ When upgrading from 15.10 to 16.04Beta (2016-03-01), this error occured,
alongside many others related to systemd and gnome.
Notice that despite all warnings and errors, finally, the system remained
functional.

The autopkgtests problem is the arm64 chroots not being able to install
the kernel, which has not to do with the SRU here, please don't consider
that as a blocker for the SRU

[Bug 1822351] Re: Nautilus does not open after updating to 19.04

2019-06-27 Thread RussianNeuroMancer
Interestingly, I left virtual machine with not working Nautilus running,
and few hours later found that Nautilus started after all. So it's not
like it not working at all, it's just take few minutes/hours to show the
window.

I restored virtual machine backup created yesterday and this was
reproducible.
