[Bug 1838919] Re: Slow and lost keyboard and mouse events
It sounds like the affected system is uniquely broken. The simple answer would be to do a backup and then wipe/reinstall it from scratch. The complex answer would be to check for gnome-shell extensions, uninstall any non-Ubuntu ones. And to remove the relevant gtk-2 libraries and see what else the system warns you is depending on those, which is likely inclusive of the cause of this bug. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to mutter in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1838919 Title: Slow and lost keyboard and mouse events To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1838919/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

The problem does not appear to happen under Wayland. [Bug 1849484] Re: [X1 Carbon 7, i915, HDMI] Ultra-wide monitor recognized properly when plugged in only intermittently [Xorg only]
Hmm, it shouldn't be a multi-stream problem. It looks like you only need HDMI v1.3 to drive that resolution and your laptop supports HDMI 1.4b already. So mainly I suspect a bad HDMI cable, bad HDMI adaptor, or just faulty EDID data coming from the monitor. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to mutter in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1849484 Title: [X1 Carbon 7, i915, HDMI] Ultra-wide monitor recognized properly when plugged in only intermittently [Xorg only] To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1849484/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

Open application launcher Note a ~0.6s delay before the icons fly onto the screen Open GNOME Software Install all the editors picks Launch a bunch of applications Click the application launcher Note a 4s delay before icons fly onto the screen.
