How can I help to fix this bug?
I can easely reproduce it easely on three differnt computers (one new
install, and two upgraded from 19.10).
The only workaround that I have found is to install xubuntu-desktop or
lubuntu-desktop. I cannot use "Ubuntu Wayland" because libreoffice
becomes sluggish

Libreoffice, wine applications, and some others being irritatingly slow,
and wondered why. It's Wayland! Switching back to the normal ubuntu
desktop has bought speed back, but brought the bug back with it.

The GTK fix is about wayland, are the reports specific about wayland
there? The changes also are in 3.24.17 which is included in focal so if

Weird, do you start gedit with your user? Do changes to other

As for me this advertised feature of 20.04 was the main factor to
install this OS on my hardware, because previous 3 years the lack of
this feature prevented me from using Ubuntu.
Sadly, this bug affects me too - I am using Nvidia RTX 2070 Super
