I got the same Problem with the official final Desktop-CD of Ubuntu 6.0.6 LTS.
So the bug isn't fixed now.
However this bug does not occur on an machine upgraded from Breezy to Dapper.
What is wrong with the Desktop-CD?

I have the same sort of problem with breezy and dapper. I mapped the
windows key to super, and i can use winkey+t to start a terminal and i
can use winkey+1...4 to switch to desktop 1...4.
I can also set winkey+e to home folder, and winkey+l to lock screen..

I have the same problem in 6.06. Some applet icons are loaded then the
panels(top and bottom) both hang. Sometimes it takes many restarts to

The fix was helpful - at least g-p-m doesn't keep warning me that I have
4min left when I'm at 99% charge. This however, doesn't fix the erratic
suspend when ac cable unplugged problem.
