[Bug 70705] Totem doesn't use .asx playlists correctly
Public bug reported: Dutch public radio is available online, using some kind of windows audio stream. Usually, this works correctly in Totem, but today it didn't. Nothing has changed in the asx files, but one of the listed servers seems to be down. Instead of failing over to the next server, totem pops up an error claiming Connection refused (which is wrong, it's 500: Internal server error). If I use the Windows mediaplayer, or play the alternative directly, it works correctly. ** Affects: totem (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- Totem doesn't use .asx playlists correctly https://launchpad.net/bugs/70705 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 61381] Re: gnome-settings-daemon crashes at login
I have the same problem. It takes 5 minutes to login. During login I see a white box in the top left corner, after awhile it displays the error message: There was an error starting the GNOME Settings Daemon. Some things, such as themes, sounds, or background settings may not work correctly. The last error message was: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken. [Bug 60277] Re: Windows Network entries use a text icon instead of a computer one
I tried the posted patch and I rebuild the gnome- vfs2_2.16.1-0ubuntu2.dsc package. The result now is that I do not see the blank icons anymore, but I still cannot really use the network. Only two hosts show up, while there really are many hosts... Initially I thought the blank icons (the hosts which are not recognized/accessible) just were not visible anymore, but after thinking it through, that can't be the case. Without the above patch applied, clicking refresh showed different hosts being accessible on every new click. With the patch applied, clicking refresh changes nothing. The same two hosts appear, with the rest of the network being unaccessible. -- Windows Network entries use a text icon instead of a computer one https://launchpad.net/bugs/60277 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

Yep, it's still there on Edgy. I don't know what's so hard about fixing this bug, I mean this is low hanging fruit after all and should take about ten minutes to fix. [Bug 70779] volume-slide controls wrong channel
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-volume-manager hi, my volume-control-slide changes the volume on the wrong channel on my laptop Dell Inspiron 9200. This is my soundcard: Multimedia audio controller: Intel Corporation 82801DB/DBL/DBM (ICH4/ICH4-L/ICH4-M) AC'97 Audio Controller (rev 01) The problem seems to be that the notebook has 4 speakers - 2 for high and 2 for low frequencies. The Master-slide in gnome-valume-control changes the 2 speakers for the high frequencies. The low frequencies are changed by the Master-Mono-slide. So if I want to change the volume I always have to change both slides or use the PCM-slide. Is there a way to define that the slide in the gnome-panel should map to the PCM-channel? [Bug 70798] Randomly incomplete renaming of categories

[Bug 66239] Re: Patch to add HAL FDI info for MPMan MP-Ki 128
1. I think so. I didn't have one, I probably had an old fdi file? My device was also 512MB, the '128' is just from the USB ident string. 2. Mine is the same. I didn't see that option - if there is one, it would be good to add it in. (FWIW, mine won't actually work as an MP3 player any more - either dd'ing images on and off of it upset it, or it's been through the wash... I'd really like a YP-U1 or something similar, which can play my existing Vorbis files) -- Patch to add HAL FDI info for MPMan MP-Ki 128 https://launchpad.net/bugs/66239 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
