I seam to be having the same problem. Keyring does not save any passwords.
Also when I try to create a new keyring in the keyring manager I get and error
saying.
GNOME Keyring daemon is not running.
Don't know if this is helpful or even entirely related :)

and pkgcache.bin files, located in /var/cache/apt.

I have same exact problem after upgrading a thinkpad X32 to edgy:
'The application nautilus has quit unexpectedly.'
This pops up continuously. Bug buddy was not too helpful in sending out a bug.
I tried what you suggested above, the output is pasted below. It is a very

dependencies warning and it was suggested to execute 'apt-get install -f' to
fix it but when I tried that I got this

to deal with this issue has already been proposed a while back, I wonder
why it hasn't made it yet into gnome, I've just rebuilt nautilus with
this patch applied and everything looks great. Please consider including

I've a bug I can't assign a package easily so I'm reporting it as a HAL
bug just because hal-device-manager also shows the problem for example.
This is an AMD64 box with Ubuntu 6.10. I had an SB Live! soundcard,
softwares written for making sound
Also have this bug. Also running edgy. When I burn mp3s, I get to a
place behind the first line in the progress bar, then Serpentine
freezes. When I run Serpentine -d, I get the output that's in the

I created a file with 'other' having no permissions. In Nautilus via a
Samba share, the file shows that 'other' has read access. It seems to
show the permissions for 'owner' and 'group' correctly, also it

I can confirm this problem using Edgy (64bit, gnome) and nvidia-glx.
I can also confirm that disabling the the work-around suggested by
jamespharaoh (disabling the composite extension) does work.
I'm going to see if I can get the latest nvidia-glx drivers installed
manually - if that solves the
