If I put a launcher on the desktop with the command
vmplayer vmware/CsProject/Windows\ XP\ Professional.vmx it works as it should
but if I make a copy of that item and puts it in a Gnome Drawer applet it
doesn't work from there.

About the only useful thing I can think of is if they run it from a terminal
and see whether a could not import gettext warning is emitted (no -d needed).
If so, I'll need to add some code to write out more a extensive error report;
if not, I'm basically out of ideas.

The situation is improved in gnome-pilot 2.0.14/15, but not really fixed
or fixable.
IMO, it is not possible to robustly detect the correct ttyUSB port to
use. The /dev/pilot symlink is the best bet, but even then I've seen
situations in which it suddenly starts pointing to the wrong ttyUSB

The GTK FileChooser has a keystroke (ALT+UP_ARROW) for moving to the
parent directory. However this keystroke is inactive when the file list
context-search is active, and pressing 'ESC' to deactive the context-
search seems unintuitive.
Thank you for your bug. That is fixed with epiphany 2.17.3 to feisty
now. We will probably not backport the patch to edgy because epiphany is
not the default browser and you are the first to open a bug about that
which means it's not a frequent user request

Works fine for me on feisty now, maybe you could describe the step you use,
something like:
* create a category
* add 4 bookmarks to it
* rename it from the bookmark editor
* close the bookmark editor
* right click on the current browsed page and add it to the new category
* open the bookmark
There won't be a backtrace: totem prints this on stderr:
