[Bug 89819] Cannot resize preferences dialogue
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gedit Version 2.16.1-0ubuntu2 / Edgy. Repro: * Start GEdit. * Edit-Preferences * Move the mouse pointer to the corner of the preferences window * Click + drag Current result: Nothing Expected result: Preferences window should change size. Note: This works for other parts of GEdit (like the main window for example). [Bug 88939] Re: Internet time clock crashes gnome-panel
I confirm Unix time has this bug as well. [Bug 89822] Gnome Clock 2.17.92 crashes Gnome Panels if Preferences set to UNIX style
Public bug reported: Using Feisty! Right click on Clock in Gnome panel at the top. Select preferences Un-check show date Select UNIX from Clock Type After that Gnome shows your panels a few times flickering on the screen, before removing the panels completely. Since I could not find any work-around or hint on how to repair broken panels, I deleted directories .gconf* and .gnome* from my home directory. [Bug 87607] gnome-session-properties /Sessions tool/ doesn't allow to autostart programs
Public bug reported: Hi, I am using Ubuntu 6.10, kernel ending 11, 32 bit system. gnome-session- properties is a program which is accessible through System-Preferences-Sessions. I try to autostart Firestarter and skype through this tool. I add paths to Startup Programs and I see them listed there. Then I close gnome-session-properties by clicking close button in the lower right corner and start it again and skype and firestarter are not there - they disapeared. After restarting machine those programs do not start automatically. I tried starting the tool through System-Preferences-Sessions and by typing sudo gnome-session-properties and the effect was the same. Firestarter and skype don't autostart and they don't appear in the tool after I restart it. Otherwise I can start Firestarter and skype from Applications menu and they work properly. The only thing that is different in my system than it was installed by default is that I have switched my SATA drives - when I was installing Ubuntu I had only one drive. Now I have two drives and the /physical/ drive on which linux is installed is B, windows drive /physical drive/ is A. [Bug 89652] Re: dependencies will not resolve
Dear Sebastien, I am happy to plead Mea Culpa any day as I may not know how I have caused the problem and I understand that you reject the report of the bug. From my perspective I have only used Synaptic Package Manager and have not been experimenting with any packages I might get on the internet. I have never even run apt- from the terminal until I hit the problem. The only software not installed from Synaptic was Zend Studio 5.5 and that should not have installed this package. I have now de-installed Zend and the problem remains. Now that I am where I am I would like to ask for an answer to 2 quick questions: 1. Will you be able to help me - give instructions - to reverse the problem Y/N will do...? 2. If it is a no, do I blow away the system and reinstall the system from scratch as the only resonable way of reversing the problem? [Bug 89864] libgksu no longer works
Public bug reported: starting administrative applications as synaptic from the menu no longer works with today's update. It prompts me for my password, but I have sudo config with NOPASSWD for my user. It then tells me that my password is wrong (which it isn't). I can still do sudo or gksudo from the commandline (without a password as configured). ** Affects: gconf2 (Ubuntu) Importance: High Assignee: Ubuntu Desktop Bugs Status: Fix Released -- libgksu no longer works https://beta.launchpad.net/bugs/89864 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

Re: [Bug 89748] Re: [apport] gnome-panel crashed with SIGSEGV in malloc()
The panel was restarted after update.. I dont remember when i had pervious update.. but it should be not more than one day.. About valgrind log - I woul try to do it about 5- 7 hours after this letter and will send it to you.. 2007/3/5, Sebastien Bacher [EMAIL PROTECTED]: Thanks for your bug report. The crash looks like a memory corruption. Could you try to get a valgrind log for it? (you can follow the instructions from https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Valgrind for that) When did you do your previous update? For how long was the panel running? [Bug 89868] Nautilus hangs when showing Desktop in window
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus (In Preferences-Behavior I have always open in browser set to false, so I use the spatial Nautilus mode.) When I open my Desktop, either from the Places menu, or my opening it from Home, sometimes Nautilus will start hanging (CPU at 100%, probably some infinite loop), until I kill or force-quit it. Sometimes I will open the Desktop in a window to delete all *~ files (not shown on the real Desktop), and sometimes I will resize the Desktop window. Any of these actions can trigger that effect. Right now it seems that deleting one ~ file triggered it, so every time I reopen the Desktop window Nautilus will hang. Maybe this is related to the Window and the Desktop having different layouts (because they're open at the same time)? not sure. ** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- Nautilus hangs when showing Desktop in window https://launchpad.net/bugs/89868 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
