[Bug 131266] [gutsy] Places-Recent documents does not reflect the content of $HOME/.recently-used.xbel
Public bug reported: Symptom: Places-Recent documents does not update even though one opens several files of different MIME types. This means that if one clears recent documents, it will reman grayed out. Reproducibility: Near 100% on my system, in various languages, although not everybody suffers this bug: Possible causes: As $HOME/.recently-used.xbel is being updated all the time, it is possible that gnome-panel (I'm not sure it's this package) is not reading or parsing properly $HOME/.recently-used.xbel. What has been attempted: I've deleted a remnant .recently-used on my $HOME to see if this was the culprit, but it seems it wasn't. I've also installed more language packs to see if this was a language pack issue. So far I've seen the same in Spanish (Spain), Basque (Spain), English (US) and English (UK). I've also made a symlink called .recently-used pointing to .recently-used.xbel to see if the issue was that gnome-panel was reading the old .recently-used instead of the updated .xbel one. [Bug 131289] Allow to add and remove screensavers to the shortlist of screensaver theme
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-screensaver The gnome-screensaver has a list called 'Screensaver theme' which contains a shortlist with 'Black screen' and 'Random', a separator bar and then all installed screensavers. At the moment the list has become so long that it takes a long time to find, that particular screen saver you would like to see or show to others, that it is desirable to allow the user to add and remove screensavers to the shortlist. This can be achieved by offering the following functionality. With a mouse right click on a screensaver in the long list, a menu should pop up with the action 'Add to shortlist' and when clicked that particular screensaver will also be listed in the short list above the separator bar. With a mouse right click on a screensaver in the short list (i.e. not on 'Black screen' and 'Random'), a menu should pop up with the actions 'Remove from shortlist' and when clicked that particular screensaver will have to be removed from the short list. Implementing this feature will allow users to more actively switch between favorite screensavers enabling them to quickly demonstrate what are, according to them, the most awesome screensavers Linux has to offer. And in turn making a nice showcase for GNU/Linux. ** Affects: gnome-screensaver (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Allow to add and remove screensavers to the shortlist of screensaver theme https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/131289 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug contact for gnome-screensaver in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
