same patch for the same bug in gtk2-engines-murrine. Signed source package at http://people.ubuntu.com/~vorlon/gtk2-engines-murrine/. There is no package in gutsy (source or binary) named clearlooks, and the gtk2-engines package which provides the clearlooks engine in gutsy has no theme named Baltix that I can see. Re: [Bug 133567] Re: nautilus hangs on accessing vfat drives - statfs() blocks for a long time
Hi, wusch [2007-10-04 19:33 -]: It now hangs on right click - properties. That is known. However, I feel that it is better for the dialog to take a minute to appear and display correct results than to break this as well. After a few minutes, the dialog does not hang any more anyway. OTOH the 'free space' message is put into the browser dialog immediately, there is no chance for delaying this. And it does not show the free space left on the drive, so it is not really a good solution I think. It is not intended to be a solution. But since there is no way to fix the Gutsy kernel in time, we have to live with this hack, I'm afraid. -- nautilus hangs on accessing vfat drives - statfs() blocks for a long time https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/133567 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug contact for nautilus in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 137247] Re: libpam-keyring broken on autologins
I have the same problem, two dialogs on autologin, zero without autologin. libpam_keyring (or whatever it's called, we're all talking about the same...) works if I don't use autologin. I guess the problem is that if no password is entered, the keyring cannot be opened. That's why gdm needs to get a password. The two dialog problem, comes from the fact that a second keyring called login is created, if you choose to have it opened at login (see the first dialog box). This login keyring, opens the default keyring (or something like that), which in turn holds your keys for NM. If no password is provided (autologin), the login keyring is not opened, and neither is default. I guess it's a bug that login doesn't open default if it's provided with the password. But the behavior is more or less understandable... ./Troels -- libpam-keyring broken on autologins https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/137247 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug contact for gnome-keyring in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 20776] Re: Preferences menu displaced
Update: I've been talking to upstream. They are willing to accept the first hunk of my patch (to make the tabs for mail-preferences dialog scrollable, avoiding allocation of horizontal space that exceeds the width of the widest dialog), the second one (moving New Mail Notification in a seperate tab) will be obsoleted, soon. They are planning to put the mail-notification stuff in the preferences-dialog for the according plugin. Anyway, the problem with the too tall mail- preferences dialog seems to get solved in 2.14 :-) (Maybe there's a chance to backport this for 2.12?). Concerning the displacement: The window is not centered, because a hack for bonobo is allocating space on startup for the dialog (needed due to bonobo-restrictions), which is too small for the largest dialog (mail preferences, general tab). If you are observing the startup of the dialog, you'll see that for a rather short time you have a perfectly centered dialog, which will be displaced after all dialogs are loaded. This hopefulle will vanish, when upstream is killing the bonobo/bonoboui stuff. -- Preferences menu displaced https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/20776 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

Re: [Bug 84060] Re: [apport] alacarte crashed with AttributeError in __getPath()
I agree. 2007/10/5, AndrewL [EMAIL PROTECTED]: I find it insulting that the priority of this bug is set to Low, and that one person even bothered to claim that this is not a real crash. I, myself, experience it every single time I try to revert the applicaitons menu, and all my applications links are GONE. If Ubuntu intends to be a distribution focusing on user empowerment, it needs to stop ignoring its users on bugs this large. -- [apport] alacarte crashed with AttributeError in __getPath() https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/84060 You received this bug notification because you are a direct subscriber of a duplicate bug. -- [apport] alacarte crashed with AttributeError in __getPath() https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/84060 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug contact for alacarte in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 37828] Re: Text rendered incorrectly in presence of ligatures and justified text
Feisty did use another /usr/lib/firefox/firefox script than gutsy does, no idea, why it changed. Gutsy version does not read /etc/firefox/firefoxrc and ~/.mozilla/firefox/rc anymore, the hack for enabling pango only for a certain set of languages is no longer applied, too. At the moment I'm using the /usr/lib/firefox/firefox script from feisty-package on my gutsy install to workaround this, I've had no time to investigate if this is causing some serious troubles, at least it seems to work fine for me. -- Text rendered incorrectly in presence of ligatures and justified text https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/37828 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a subscriber of a duplicate bug. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 149380] blurry reboot / restart icon
Public bug reported: This is not very important, but the icon which stores itself in the panel indicating your system needs a reboot seems very blurry on my system. I searched the forums and Launchpad and i found out i could edit the gtkrc of my theme (Human), I did so and set gtk-icon-sizes = panel-menu=48,48 instead of smaller as i have a panel with a size of 42 pixels. (trying to chase the ultimate answer everywhere) I did a 'killall gnome-panel and all icons refreshed, but the restart icon keeps being blurry. As a comparison I attached a screenshot of a part of my panel and the window which pops up when you click the restart icon. The one in the window seems so much sharper. ** Affects: gnome-panel (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- blurry reboot / restart icon https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/149380 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug contact for gnome-panel in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
