around it by switching to an empty desktop, but I often find myself
sending the word I want to look up to IRC because I always forget that
the damn thing that used to work for ages now suddenly requires this

Can you open the printer setup tool (system-config-printer, gnome-cups-

settings? In a group Installable options there should be an option to

opening the file with Gedit never displays anything, Gedit becomes

Binary package hint: epiphany-browser
Inside the bookmark manager i can add bookmarks or topics to the
toolbar. This way those item will be displayed like a boomarks toolbar
in Firefox. When i right click on that toolbar and choose customize
tollbars i can drag and drop
Looks like it's working correctly, why do you think it needs an update?
Could you describe what you are trying to do which doesn't work
correctly?
