[Bug 188732] Re: Blinking cursor can not be deactivated anymore
Me too! Cursors SHOULD normally blink in my opinion, it's just that in the terminal the cursor is a large block which is really annoying when it blinks all the time. The rather large response in favour of a non- blinking cursor at the referenced bug makes me a bit mad at the people who pushed this change through. So it seems now they're waiting for a patch which only makes things more complicated... some combo box option with values System default, Always, Never. [Bug 216953] Re: Feature request: Gphoto2 plugin in gvfs-0.2.3u1 missing
You seem to not understand what I'm writting. It doesn't freeze, it takes a lock on the device in the sense of exclusive access. It means that only one application can access to the device, when this one is gvfs then other photo management software are not able to download pictures. That's not a bug but a design decision from libgphoto. [Bug 186186] Re: web page background render errors
This bug was fixed in the package xorg-server - 2:1.4.1~git20080131-1ubuntu8 --- xorg-server (2:1.4.1~git20080131-1ubuntu8) hardy; urgency=low * debian/patches/165_fedora_xserver-1.5.0-xaa-option-inversion.patch: - Turn XAA Offscreen Pixmaps off by default, and use XaaOffscreenPixmaps true to turn them on. This setting was an early pre-EXA HW optimization attempt that didn't pan out; upstream is deprecating XAA in favor of EXA generally, and for situations where XAA is still in use recommends NOT using this optimization hack, since they found it often just made performance worse, and sometimes created visualization bugs. People wishing to gain added performance should be experimenting with EXA anyway, not this setting. I just had the same problem and I can confirm that the slow keys feature was the reason for this.
