On installing templates in the ~/Templates directory, if two new files of a
template are to be created in the same directory, naming is currently done as:
New .abc
New .abc 1
It should instead have been:
New .abc
New 1.abc
because the former creates wrong file
I also discovered that setting up the launcher to execute
"firefox http://www.towboatgallery.com/ardvark/ardgbeX.php?where=89CentN120";
causes it to work correctly. I had previously determined that when executed
from somewhere other than a launcher, it also worked OK.

dialog window. I believe this problem is from an upgrade of the xserver-

In gutsy it worked. Rhythmbox would release the file. In hardy, it
doesn't. You can't eject the device from within rhythmbox because there
is nowhere to do so. It's not an mp3 player, so doesn't show up in the
list of devices. Basically, if you don't know that rb is locking the

I've been seeing this problem too. I'm using a 32 GB USB flash drive.
I formatted it as NTFS so I could put files bigger than 4GB on it. But
copying to the drive was painfully slow. It took me over an hour
(Un?)fortunately, I don't have the problem any more, so I can't test it.

I have recognized that the trash symbol is missing on my panel too and there is
no way to get it back. I tried to open the trash with nautilus but nautilus got
stuck. If I try it with the trash on the desktop
I can reconfirm the bug in Ubuntu Hardy. If you right click any avi file
and select "open with vlc" for playing it gives an error cannot open the
file even if the volume is mounted. The same file can be opened
using vlc's menu.

including the Yv12 colourspace. I don't know if this is just down to me

(vnc4server 4.1.1+xorg1.0) with Ubuntu 8.04 desktop (all updates as at
15 June 2008). I found that disabling just the keyboard plug-in for

setting LC_TIME.

Well, it is not something that is requires since there already is Jamendo and
Magnatune.
But it would be nice with some other free/open record stores too, in order to
support independent artists who license their music liberally.

I found out it was because of the external drive changing names. Adding
the "_" after every boot. that is fixed now, thank you.

I just tested it and the issue has been resolved for me! I'm not sure
what fixed this. I started up the Hardy release LiveCD (in virtualbox-
ose) and verified that the situation still exists there. I am currently
