[Bug 380091] Re: Ubuntu 9.04 Ekiga 3.2.0 Does not work behind double-NAT
Alvin, AFAIK, Ubuntu ships only the free codecs and if you select them all it fits in UDP, the issue occurs when you add the non-free codecs. Do you use the package from Ubuntu? If so, does the PDU exceed 1500? [Bug 396006] [NEW] There are no important hard drive (block device) meters
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-system-monitor 1. Drive speeds (Block device read and writes in MB/s). 2. Drive load average - so user can see how his drive is loaded -- how many processes need IO operations on drive. Average for 1 minute, 5 and 15 - as for processor. point 1 and 2: I think every real drive should be shown, not partitions. But somebody wants partitions shown, so option should be. I think for every meter, three sub-meters should be - reading, writing, reading+ writing. 3. swap activity - summary for all swaps. [Bug 396015] [NEW] Invalid maximal range fro meters
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-system-monitor For example, for my Gigabit net, maximal range for network throughput should be always 1 Gigabit, if low-level link established as 1 Gbit, and 100 Mbit if link established as 100 mbit. [Bug 395524] [NEW] ssh host key mismatch results in generic error message
You have been subscribed to a public bug: Note that this is subtle annoyance. If you use the Places Bookmarks feature in Gnome, sometimes you get very mysterious failures to connect. The error message will be Service Unavailable but the fact is that the known_hosts file in the .ssh directory merely has the wrong key loaded. This creates what appears to be an intermittent connectivity problem till you inadvertently reset the key using another service, such as ssh. One possible solution is to expand the error message to something meaningful. Ultimately, this could be a lot more useful. How hard could it be to avoid having to edit the ~/.gtk-bookmarks file to get into this bookmark area what you want. While I am not opposed to this manual editing approach, there may be a better way. I am thinking... Please note that I have not the foggiest idea how to determine what package this bug is in. I would be attentive to someone who could tell me. [Bug 380091] Re: Ubuntu 9.04 Ekiga 3.2.0 Does not work behind double-NAT
Yannick, No I hadn't installed any non-free codecs (not knowingly anyway). I wanted to confirm this so I booted from clean live USB memory stick image (Jaunty). Selected ekiga for installation. Synaptic informs that the following are required: libgsm1, libopal3.6.1, libpt2.6.1, libpt2.6.1-plugins-alsa, libpt2.6.1-plugins-v4l2. (All of these come from the Main repository). Once above are installed: Ekiga has the same problem as described above (PDU exceed 1500) and same solution as you describe above also works. Out-of-the-box Audio codecs: G722, Speex(16kHz), PCMA, PCMU, G726-16, G726-24, G726-32, G726-40, gsm, ms-gsm, Speex(8kHz). Out-of-the-box Video codecs: h261, theora. [Bug 395490] Re: Merge Screensaver into Appearance (Make it a tab)
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. A 'paper cut' is a minor usability annoyance that an average user would encounter on his/her first day of using a new installation of Ubuntu 9.10. This is not a 'paper cut', which is a small usability issue that affects many people and is quick and easy to fix, but rather a feature- request. [Bug 395861] Re: gdm 2.26 custom configuration file: wrong filename
Issue #1: Upgrading from 2.20 to 2.26 leaves you with two configuration files. Pretty confusing I'd say - especially because you have to manually configure GDM since there is no graphical tool (yet?) to do it. Issue #2: Fresh installations just install 'custom.conf', which isn't used (yet?) by GDM. Again, if you want to configure GDM you'd probably put the information into that file rather than creating a new file called 'gdm.conf-custom' (which IS used by GDM). -- gdm 2.26 custom configuration file: wrong filename https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/395861 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

This was a bad idea. What happens now is this: If someone calls me, Ekiga plays the whole 60 seconds of the wav file, even if the caller hung up after only 5 seconds of ringing. But worse still, if I answer/accept the incoming call, the wav file keeps on playing! [Bug 119861] Re: error on playing swf
I have Linux Mint 7 (essentially Ubuntu 9.04) and also have problems with .swf files. I get the error message 'GStreamer encountered a general supporting library error.' as well, but I'm not entirely sure its the same problem: I get the following output from terminal when I attempt to play the file: -- totem ~/Downloads/rta1.swf /var/lib/python-support/python2.6/gdata/tlslite/utils/cryptomath.py:9: DeprecationWarning: the sha module is deprecated; use the hashlib module instead import sha ** Message: Error: GStreamer encountered a general supporting library error. gstffmpegdemux.c(1215): gst_ffmpegdemux_open (): /GstPlayBin:play/GstDecodeBin:decodebin0/ffdemux_swf:ffdemux_swf0: Unhandled error code received -- The file I have tried to play can be found at http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/licensing/tests/driverqualificationtest/hazardperceptionpart2/buildyourhazardperceptionskills.html and clicking on any of the options in the main frame results in the problem occuring. -- error on playing swf https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/119861 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gstreamer0.10 in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
