Well it still happends, opened gnome-dictionary as a normal user then go to edit menu and preferences, on the source tab double clic a source (for me was Diccionario de español) and then close the source properties window without changing anything. The named source will appear twice on the sources list, both selected and it won't let me erase one of them (nor one or the other). Also if gnome-dictionary is launched as root, wich i thought would give me the power to delete one source, the double source won't appear. [Bug 437580] Re: videos embedded pictures are no longer used as thumbnails
The matroska specification allows one to attach an image file to your video (actually you can store whatever you want in it). In jaunty totem-video-thumbnailer used these in the video embedded images to generate a thumbnail for this movie and only generated a thumbnail from a video frame if there was no image file embedded. In the attached example matroska file (example.mkv) I added the Ubuntu Logo and therefore it is used as a thumbnail in Jaunty in karmic the image is ignored. The nice thing is that you can store the film poster or the cover of the DVD in the movie and it is used as the thumbnail this makes the movies far more easy to recognise than an arbitrary frame of the movie. Another advantage is that thumbnail generation is much faster. Only few programs and devices support this behaviour therefore I found it really nice that the totem-video-thumbnailer supported it and converted my whole collection of movies into the matroska format and added the covers of the DVDs. You can check whether a matroska file has an image embedded by issuing the following command mkvmerge -i movie.mkv I hope I could explain what I would expect. -- videos embedded pictures are no longer used as thumbnails https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/437580 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 92248] Re: evolution is really annoying when GPG data has a picture in it
I don't believe that this is an Evolution issue. I have been having the same problem with Thunderbird (with the Enigmail add-on). If you have specified in your ~/.gnupg/gpg.conf file that you want to see ID photos, then such photos will pop up in the default image viewer (xloadimage, eog, or display) every time something is decrypted or verified. This is independent of the frontend you are using. I think the solution is to disable this feature in ~/.gnupg/gpg.conf (it is disabled by default), and implement the displaying of photos separately in each app that requires it (Evolution, Thunderbird, etc). That way, they can be displayed in an attractive and user-friendly way (in the top-right corner of the e-mail, for example) instead of annoyingly popping up. -- evolution is really annoying when GPG data has a picture in it https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/92248 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 438616] [NEW] Drag and drop a .svg from archive manager crashes nautlius
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus On karmic: open an archive with a .svg file in it, and drag the file into an open nautilus window. Nautilus will crash before you can let go of the mouse (and thus the copy never attempts). A workaround is to first extract the file to the desktop and then drag it onto the nautilus window. [Bug 438618] [NEW] gnome-settings-daemon crashed
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-settings-daemon The daemon crashed when I opened a link to a HQ youtube movie. .xsession-errors: ** (gnome-settings-daemon:17848): WARNING **: Failed to acquire org.gnome.SettingsDaemon ** (gnome-settings-daemon:17848): WARNING **: Could not acquire name The program 'gnome-settings-daemon' received an X Window System error. This probably reflects a bug in the program. The error was 'BadDrawable (invalid Pixmap or Window parameter)'. (Details: serial 17004 error_code 9 request_code 14 minor_code 0) (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously; that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it. To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.) If more logs are needed, i'll add them.
