I'm also unable to write any data DVD's using Brasero, Nautilus' bullt-
in disc writing, and GnomeBaker at any supported speed (1x, 2x, 4x, 8x,
'Max Speed').
I haven't tried K3B, but I'm going to try growisofs from the console and see if
it works for a dummy burn.

the first time I hit the play button or double-click a file. The play
button is toggled, but playback doesn't start. If I click it twice or

I concur... this is a problem that should have been fixed by now. When I
run export SSH_AUTH_SOCK=0 on the host machine, I have no problem
connecting to the target system after placing the key in the
authorized_keys2 file (on target).

for me, i solved the problem by letting hal ignore the first partition of the
ipod.
first, you need the label of the partition (replace '/dev/sdb1' by the device
your ipod uses):
# lshal -u `hal-find-by-property --key block.device --string /dev/sdd1` | grep
volume.label
volume.label = 'iPod'

Simple, in the 'View' pull down menu, add the accounts with a check
box, meaning, a check would enable, no check disable. If both are
enabled, then just make each account their own group in the main
window... same as buddies, etc.
