[Bug 229197] Re: rhythmbox notifications don't show album cover
This bug still exists on a fully updated Ubuntu Karmic with Rhythmbox 0.12.7. Strangly, I didn't have this problem when I had just installed it. It started happening later that day while I was playing around with CoverGloobus. At first it would load all covers the way it should. Then later that same day it would only display covers from albums that have the cover as a separate .jpg file in the same folder (covers from ID3 tags were not displayed). And now (a few days later) it won't show any covers at all (although at times it does). DarthTibault's method also didn't change anything for me. [bump] Same problem - form field contents disappear when the cursor leaves the field. In my case, contents are completely lost. I am using a bare-bones Tiny Core 2.9 (debian-like) installation + plain jane Evince + updated poppler/gconf/etc. I have tried a few PDF forms created using Adobe - all forms work fine on Adobe Win, Foxit Win. Evince is the only form editor I've seen on Linux, or I would try the form elsewhere. (I'm searching!) I'll re-test on Ubuntu, but expect the same. [Bug 348558] [NEW] No automount of encrypted super-floppy-like usb-stick
You have been subscribed to a public bug: Hi, I found that problem with the gnome desktop on latest intrepid: ubuntu has a pretty good support of USB-Sticks (pendrives), they are automounted if plugged in. Even better, if the partition is encrypted with cryptsetup, a password requester appears and the encrypted device is mounted. Great. :-) But then, there are plenty of USB sticks/pendrives, that do not come with a partition table, but are used as one large partition by default (i.e. have their filesystem on /dev/sdc instead of /dev/sdc1). The gnome desktop mounts them as well as they are unencrypted. But when a whole stick (like /dev/sdc) has a cryptsetup-encrypted filesytem, Ubuntu still can raise the password requester, but then does not mount the device. It takes manual intervention. Of course, would be easy to put a partition table on the stick with fdisk, but that's a workaround, not a bug fix. regards Hadmut ** Affects: gnome-disk-utility (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- No automount of encrypted super-floppy-like usb-stick https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/bugs/348558 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-disk-utility in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 534068] [NEW] Evolution doesn't support recurring tasks
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evolution In Evolution, it is not possible to create a recurring task. [Bug 347541] [NEW] dpi : right value used (130), but 96dpi shown in dialog box
You have been subscribed to a public bug: In Ubuntu Jaunty alpha 6, my real dpi is used (130dpi), but in System → Preferences → Appareance, Fonts, Details…, it is written 96. If I confirm, the "real" dpi used by gnome is set to 96 (so all my fonts become small), and if I put 130 in that spinner, the fonts come back normal, and the settings "130" is now correct in the dialog box. The problem is only the first time after installation, gnome detects correctly the dpi, but dialog box indicates 96. [Bug 433654] Re: [Karmic]&[Lucid] Only one user has sound; no hw shows in Sound Preferences
Milan, I think that removing audio group is not a good idea. There are at least 2 reasons. 1. It might affect a lot of system components at least udev, libmtp, alsa which might cause regressions. 2. It would prevent group based access control to the audio device - mind that /dev is dynamic, so configuring back /dev/dsp group owned by audio will not be that easy - i.e. this kind of access control is crucial if your box is used remotely as a juke box. -- [Karmic]&[Lucid] Only one user has sound; no hw shows in Sound Preferences https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/433654 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-system-tools in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

Re: [Bug 533652] Re: critically low battery dialog "cancel" button is meaningless
If I understand correctly notify-osd is issuing the fallback. If notify-osd's fallback mechanism presents a usability hurdle, then there's a bug to be fixed in notify-osd, albeit a low priority one. -- critically low battery dialog "cancel" button is meaningless https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/533652 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-power-manager in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
