Wow, I didn't know it was possible to burn symlinks, but there it is:
there needs to be an -f option to genisoimage or you get a symlink (or
nothing) instead of the file. I did a test with brasero and I got the
file rather than the link.
Take a look in the gconf-editor, under apps/brasero/filter.
This is still present at gnome-panel 1:2.30.0-0ubuntu1 with Lucid's Ambiance,
Clearlooks, Dust, New Wave, etc.

My guess is that something delays DBus initialization (something related
to the Live CD), and it's not ready to talk to gdu-notification-daemon

I've found a way of making the applet scroll bar respond to left mouse clicks
1 - Left click on the icon (scroll bar appears)
2 - Right Click on the icon (menu appears)

I have seen that in alsamixer (the terminal version) all channels were on mute
although I didn't mute anything.
After unmuting the audio in and output ekiga found its voice again.

I open a VPN connection to a network, then an ssh connection to a server
on that network. If the VPN connection fails, the terminal with the open
connection hangs: no keyboard activity has any effect, nor does

(see bug 433701). the package descriptions still lists "Services" as
something that these tools are used for managing.

Same problem for me on complete new install of 10.04.
I burned a standard CDR... it burned OK but didn't eject.
Right mouse clicking the CD icon on the desktop and selecting "Eject"
works. Brasero is obviously not calling the standard "eject" code as
all other eject methods seem to work.

Restart might work, but to restart your whole system just to add a
panel? That's...ahmmm...too brutal omho. You might as well say that it's
ok if you have to restart after adding a launcher to the Desktop in
order to see it. :P This is obviously a bug and it happens to me too.

fine for me with symlinks.
