But when I select/click the _same song_ twise, RhythmBox does not send TrackChanged signal to the DBus. It only sends Status Changed signal with status PLAYING (from time time 0). When selecting a new song, or when clicking the same song once again , RhythmBox should first send TrackChanged signal, then Status Changed signal. When clicking the same song twise, external programs must now implement some weird logic to understand if the song simply stopped then continuing or if the song re-started from 0. I have some prototyping/test code attached here below. Hi, i've been experiencing the same issues this a week or two. I'm using Ub 10.04 since May 2010. Evolution 2.28.3 3 imap accounts, and 2 pop. Disabling default sources didn't solved the problem. I though about the large amount of emails i had, so did some clean up. Unsuccessful. Then disabled the portrait thing in the header (Preferences - Email preferences - Headers - disable portrait (or photograph, i don't know the english term as i use a french version)). Then got below errors, /usr/lib/gio/modules/libgioremote-volume-monitor.so: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64 Failed to load module: /usr/lib/gio/modules/libgioremote-volume-monitor.so /usr/lib/gio/modules/libgvfsdbus.so: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64 Failed to load module: /usr/lib/gio/modules/libgvfsdbus.so /usr/lib/gio/modules/libgiogconf.so: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64 Failed to load module: /usr/lib/gio/modules/libgiogconf.so I have installed ia32-libs, and update it to latest. I enabled the Java fix in the CompizConfig window. If I open two images with ImageJ, after the opening the second one, the main window disappears from the taskbar. I have the same problem with f-spot 0.8.0 when importing .ORF files from an Olympus E1. The thumbnails in the importer show with date 01/01/0001, and then f-spot crashes when you click Import. If you subsequently try to open f-spot, it crashes with the error message described in bug 636819. To recover, I had to update the time column for the affected photos in the sqlite database which allowed me to open f-spot and delete the incorrectly dated photos. I have tried copying the files off my camera to a local folder and then importing, but this does not help. So I'm guessing that the original reporter of this bug had success because of having put the photos through Shotwell first. I am still using F-spot because Shotwell does not support photo versioning to the same level as F-spot. Oh, one more thing. My problem is that F-spot crashes on *import* as opposed to importing fine and crashing later (as outlined in the gnone- bugs #633020 here: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=633020 ) Basically, I open f-spot, click import, select the directory on the hard drive the photos are in and it crashes before it can even display one thumbnail in the import window. Interestingly, if I try to import directly from the camera, it will display lots of 'blank' thumbnails in the import screen, all with dates 01/01/0001 and not crash. I am hesitant to go ahead and import these though, in case it does cause f-spot to crash later as obviously f-spot is having a hard time handling these images. I checked that the import directory I was using that was causing the crash didn't have any strange characters or spaces, in case something wasn't escaped properly, but no dice, the crash still happens regardless of the directory name. Also, I was able to import jpg files from another camera with no problems, it appears to be confined to this camera/exif-set/file-format only. F-spot was working perfectly before I upgraded from 10.04 to 10.10. Is there some older version of f-spot i can downgrade to to restore functionality? Just a note, compiz seems to do a slightly better job of remembering window positions than metacity, but only for some apps it seems. Positioning of Audacious (mp3 player) was terrible under metacity, but under compiz it's perfect. Same massive memory leak here, however without the high CPU usage. I am also using 10.10 64 bit. I think the problem started after a recent update (using the proposed repository). I am not sure if it is related, but I also noticed that the calendar in the side panel no longer indicates if there are items on a specific day by making that day bold. The numbers of the days are now all italic. This is only the case if google-calendar is selected. The the symptom is that gtk shows the gtk default theme (ugly 1990s gray) and the theme can't be changed. Also, the text anti-aliasing setting revert to defaults. (The symptoms are the same as in bug 584731 but the trigger of the bug is different.) If I log out, log in via ssh and replace ~/.gconf/ from a backup made under Lucid prior to upgrading, the next graphical login works normally. ~/.gconf/ matches the backup immediately after login. After logout, only timestamps within the XML files have changed (AFAICT from the diff) and an item ~/.gconf/apps/update-notifier has appeared. Attaching the diff between the backup and ~/.gconf/ after logout. I have the same problem on Ubuntu 10.10. It seems that Rhythmbox transfers the files but somehow loses the .mp3 extension in the process. I am not sure this is a gnome-power-manager issue by itself. I experience this same issue using an ATI Radeon 8500 video card in Ubuntu 10.04. Unfortunately, I can test it in Ubuntu 10.10, maverick, because it shuts my video, keyboard, mouse off before I can get the grub menu. As Robert Collins pointed out, I'm using Ubuntu 10.04 LTS (sorry forget mention that). Evince came with Ubuntu. With these info, one should be easy to reproduce the bug. Actually, xpdf installed by 'synaptic' or 'apt-get' in Ubuntu also had key-lag problem (pages moving lag much behind key strokes). I downloaded the version from http://www.foolabs.com/xpdf/ and the problem solved.
