[Bug 744108] [NEW] gnome terminal popup menu problem
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-terminal Gnome terminal opens the popup menu on right button pressed, not on right button-click(right button released). If you move the mouse a bit between the right button press and release towards the menu (happened to me lots of times) as the menu items react to mouse button release, a menu item is activated (most of the times it's Open Terminal for me, that item being closest to the point I've right-clicked). This could be fixed by showing the popup only on right button released. [Bug 743761] Re: Gnome reverts partially to default theme and fonts; gnome-session[...]: GLib-GObject-CRITICAL: g_object_unref: assertion `G_IS_OBJECT (object)' failed in syslog
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, your crash report is either missing or challenging to deal with as a '.crash' file. Please follow these instructions to have apport report a new bug about your crash that can be dealt with by the automatic retracer. If you are running the Ubuntu Stable Release you might need to enable apport in /etc/default/apport and restart. If you are using Ubuntu with the Gnome desktop environment - launch nautilus and navigate to your /var/crash directory and double click on the crash report you wish to submit. If you are using Kubuntu or Xubuntu you can file the crash using /usr/share/apport/apport-qt --crash-file=/var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash in a terminal - where _my_crash_report.crash is the crash you would like to report. I'm closing this bug report since the process outlined above will automatically open a new bug report which can then dealt with more efficiently. Thanks in advance for your cooperation and understanding. ** Package changed: gnome-session (Ubuntu) = gnome-settings-daemon (Ubuntu) ** Changed in: gnome-settings-daemon (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Low ** Changed in: gnome-settings-daemon (Ubuntu) Status: New = Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-settings-daemon in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/743761 Title: Gnome reverts partially to default theme and fonts; gnome- session[...]: GLib-GObject-CRITICAL: g_object_unref: assertion `G_IS_OBJECT (object)' failed in syslog -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

Empathy is completely right here. A certificate for www.example.com is not valid for example.com., the problem here probably lies in livejournal.com hands. Re: [Bug 742758] Re: windows do not appear in lower panel
It's reproducible. I've rebooted several times and it happens every time. I don't do anything special just open windows. I do have 2 identical displays in an over under configuration - the primary as far as the driver/board is concerned is on the bottom by default and I have them mapped the other way - it took me a while to figure out how to get the OS ( the nVidia propietary driver display app) to map them this way. maybe the confusion is that the secondary display is mapped to the top of the X window? maybe it's only partly mapped this way and the software is confused about where the windows and the displays are. As I said I have a workaround but it's annoying. Sometimes the workspace1/workspace 2 doesn't work but moving the window off the lower edge of the bottom display ( the primary) and back on fixes thing - the button in the panel reappears Thanks for getting back to me On Mon, Mar 28, 2011 at 5:10 AM, Sebastien Bacher seb...@ubuntu.com wrote: Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. [Bug 744220] [NEW] Trying to browse Exchange/Active Directory global address list returns Unable to open address book
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evolution I've recently upgraded from 10.04 to 10.10, which has brought Evolution up to 2.30. Previously I was able to browse the Exchange global address list, however when I try to browse it now I receive the following error: Unable to open address book This address book cannot be opened. This either means that an incorrect URI was entered, or the server is unreachable. This is using the same setting as I was previously using in the version of Evolution that shipped with 10.04 (2.28?). This also stops me searching in the GAL and receiving autocomplete suggestions from the GAL. I've taken a look over the debugging procedures, but I'm not sure what would be useful to include. I'm happy installing the appropriate *-dbg packages and producing stack traces, just let me know what you need. ** Affects: evolution (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: addresslist contacts evolution exchange gal -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to evolution in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/744220 Title: Trying to browse Exchange/Active Directory global address list returns Unable to open address book -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 743364] Re: gnome-sound-recorder fails to record from internal mic on MacBook
Thank you for getting back to me. I cycled through the possible input devices. Since I was testing first with gnome-sound-recorder, I assumed the sound card was simply not working correctly (for input). The MacBookPro6.2 has a few possible input devices. The gnome-volume-control has an input monitor, however. Once I saw a signal there, I decided to test another recording application. That's when I used gtk-recordMyDesktop, which recorded audio fine. Without changing the settings, I then tested gnome-sound- recorder again, knowing that my audio settings were now correct, but I got no audio from the recording, no static either, simply no signal at all. I can't say if this is a new issue, as I hadn't tried it before. I will also be testing the natty beta that arrives this week. If you have suggestions for how I can get you better debug info, let me know. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-media in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/743364 Title: gnome-sound-recorder fails to record from internal mic on MacBook -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

Re: [Bug 742758] Re: windows do not appear in lower panel
Sorry about the typos in the last message, I was in a hurry. I'm using a - 1 x GIGABYTE GV-N240D5-512I GeForce GT 240 512MB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card and when I tried to install Maverick Meerkat with it installed, both screens filled with green and red and black pixels, it installs fine under windows with and without the driver disk and it worked OK when I installed Meerkat with the onboard AMD graphics and downloaded the nVidia proprietary drivers and then diabled the onboard graphics but it did not seem to recognize the card from the install disk, maybe I screwed up, I hope not, but it does not seem to recognize this card on install. This probably isn't your problem but I don't know who to tell about it.
