[Bug 580961] Re: unzip fails to deal correctly with filename encodings
Alkis, now you are really going too far with your character assassination and outright lying. You've signed the CoC, you should apologize. I never asked for money to get this situation sorted, at least not for myself. I'm just fed up with people who make all kinds of grandish claims and demands but do zilch to get to a REAL solution. People who NEED A FIX RIGHT NOW!1! and can't code or package simply ought to pay someone to fix the issue or band together and pledge a bounty. People also still haven't understood that even if libnatspec were to work as intended and even if it were a step in the right direction getting it included wouldn't even be half-way to a proper fix. There'd still be many things left to be done. Insinuating that I was asking for money for myself for packaging libnatspec is so laughable it's not even funny ;-) Read through the ticket and you will see my many (ultimately failed) attempts to keep the ticket focused so a REAL developer will have a look at it. Alkis, I've marked your ticket as a dupe to this one in the hope to focus discussion. That's a bit different than what you are hinting at with he closed. You even thanked me for taking it up a few hours after I did that. You are so sneaky, it makes me sick. I'm very happy I left this ticket. Unfortunately, I cannot completely unsubscribe myself from it, so I still have to bear with the many idiotic comments it gets. I've lost all interest in this issue, I have no intention of doing anything further to help get a proper fix into Debian or Ubuntu and thus don't really consider myself the libnatspec maintainer. People are of course free to grab my package but I won't be making any updates to it. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a subscriber of a duplicate bug (34667). https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/580961 Title: unzip fails to deal correctly with filename encodings -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 748021] Re: Killing x then log in crashes Gnome Settings Deamon
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, your crash report is either missing or challenging to deal with as a '.crash' file. Please follow these instructions to have apport report a new bug about your crash that can be dealt with by the automatic retracer. If you are running the Ubuntu Stable Release you might need to enable apport in /etc/default/apport and restart. If you are using Ubuntu with the Gnome desktop environment - launch nautilus and navigate to your /var/crash directory and double click on the crash report you wish to submit. If you are using Kubuntu or Xubuntu you can file the crash using /usr/share/apport/apport-qt --crash-file=/var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash in a terminal - where _my_crash_report.crash is the crash you would like to report. I'm closing this bug report since the process outlined above will automatically open a new bug report which can then dealt with more efficiently. Thanks in advance for your cooperation and understanding. ** Changed in: gnome-settings-daemon (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Low ** Changed in: gnome-settings-daemon (Ubuntu) Status: New = Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-settings-daemon in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/748021 Title: Killing x then log in crashes Gnome Settings Deamon -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 747761] Re: randomly opens file in new window instead of new tab
I'm not sure I understand your question. I start without any gedit window open. First time I double click on a file, it obviously opens a new gedit window and opens the file in it. Then i double click on another file. Now obviously I do have a gedit window already open (in the same workspace). So it usually opens the new file in a new tab of the existing gedit window. I repeat the same step and usually, all files are opened in new tabs of the same existing gedit window. But at random time (this may happen even at the second file I open, or after having opened several ones), the file is opened in a new gedit window. All this within only one workspace, with no windows (not only no gedit window, no windows at all) in any other workspace. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gedit in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/747761 Title: randomly opens file in new window instead of new tab -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 745780] Re: multiple prompts from gnome-keyring
Ok, working though this I have a work-around, but not a solution. Someone else can probably come up with a cause. :-) I have two keyrings: login and default. In the file ~/.gnome2/keyrings/default the default keyring is set as default, and that is where all my passwords reside. The problem is that Ubuntu is expecting my passwords to be in a keyring called login. If I delete the login keyring then the keyring is recreated, but is of course blank and is *not* set as the default keyring. The way I got things working was to delete ~/.gnome2/keyrings/login.keyring and renamed ~/.gnome2/keyrings/default.keyring to ~/.gnome2/login.keyring. Then I edited ~/.gnome2/keyrings/default to say login is the default. This might be a roundabout way of doing things, but this worked for me. Now I just have to figure out why I'm not getting prompted for my keyring password at all - even though that keyring definitely has a password. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-keyring in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/745780 Title: multiple prompts from gnome-keyring -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
