[Bug 753221] [NEW] request for clarification: ounce
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gcalctool gcalctool has some strings relating to ounce. However, it does not specify in comments or in the strings itself whether these ounces are fluid ounces, force ounces or weight. (Found those different ones on wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ounce_%28disambiguation%29) As of now those strings are untranslated, once I know which ounce this refers to I will translate it. It would be great if a comment could be added to those strings so that other translators will know what kind of ounce is meant. [Bug 751610] Re: Listen to Music shortcut loads Totem and not Banshee
I don't know if we can handle the case of users who have manually set the key to banshee-1 themselves: the GConf defaults provide system defaults that users can override if they wish. On my system (which has used the default): laney@chicken gconftool-2 --get /desktop/gnome/applications/media/exec banshee as per-user GConf settings are stored in the home directory, I don't see how we can fix this for them nicely. We've pinged upstream for a solution, and one grubby idea I have is for banshee to supply a 'banshee-1.desktop' file with NoDisplay=true that should still work for users that have set banshee-1 as their handler. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to desktop-file-utils in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/751610 Title: Listen to Music shortcut loads Totem and not Banshee -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 753498] Re: nautilus closes after moving files in Extra pane view (F3)
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, your crash report is either missing or challenging to deal with as a '.crash' file. Please follow these instructions to have apport report a new bug about your crash that can be dealt with by the automatic retracer. If you are running the Ubuntu Stable Release you might need to enable apport in /etc/default/apport and restart. If you are using Ubuntu with the Gnome desktop environment - launch nautilus and navigate to your /var/crash directory and double click on the crash report you wish to submit. If you are using Kubuntu or Xubuntu you can file the crash using /usr/share/apport/apport-qt --crash-file=/var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash in a terminal - where _my_crash_report.crash is the crash you would like to report. I'm closing this bug report since the process outlined above will automatically open a new bug report which can then dealt with more efficiently. Thanks in advance for your cooperation and understanding. ** Changed in: nautilus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Low ** Changed in: nautilus (Ubuntu) Status: New = Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/753498 Title: nautilus closes after moving files in Extra pane view (F3) -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 733253] Re: gnome-settings-daemon freezes, desktop theming disappears
Hello Sebastien, it indeed doesn't crash in the sense that Apport is triggered. g-s-d seems to get somehow into a completely unresponsive state, meaning you can't terminate it with anything but kill -9 . It seems to consume no CPU time, so g-s-d is obviously not running in a loop. I did some further testing with g-s-d when it was properly running that showed interesting behaviour. If I sended a SIGTERM (normal kill) to g-s-d, the custom desktop theming disappeared instantly, like one would expect when g-s-d has been terminated. But looking at the running processes showed that the same g-s-d process was still there, allthough now in an unresponsive state (like it happens if I just start a desktop session on my virtual machine)! Doing kill -9 helps of course to terminate it completely. I tested this both on my virtual machine when I had restarted g-s-d manually and also on my Maverick desktop running on real hardware (where never any problem with g-s-d has occured). As a conclusion, could it be possible that the following happens: While the desktop session is loading, g-s-d receives (for an unknown reason) a SIGTERM and remains in an unresponsive state untill one kills it with kill -9 (and manually restarts it). Is there any way I can help with debugging such an issue? Anyway, here is my .xsession-errors file (beware, it inflates to 73MB!). Kind regards, Jan ** Attachment added: xsession-errors.tar.bz2 https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-settings-daemon/+bug/733253/+attachment/1994606/+files/xsession-errors.tar.bz2 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-settings-daemon in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/733253 Title: gnome-settings-daemon freezes, desktop theming disappears -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 491555] Re: In gedit's Replace window, a single Tab does not move focus from Search to Replace field
I see this bug listed in One Hundred Paper Cuts nt5-office Evolution , gedit LibO associated with natty development. When I populated gedit and ran 'replace' dialog pressing tab with focus attached at search field hadn't reproduced this bug, or in otherwords, tabbing focus from 'search' to 'replace' seems to work as desired.
