It's not entirely certain to me, but, this bug appeared to occur at
about the time I updated my machine to natty from meerkat.
To see if there was corrupting in the local calendar info, I was going
to try to delete the instances of the calendar that I had (I watch 3
Google calendars.
First I
Deleting .config/evolution did not work for me, however removing the
evolution packages (and so the associated entries in gconf) and
reinstalling did stop this happening.

I have the same issue after upgrading to 11.04. I tested with a new
user profile and experienced the same issue. Below are the commands to
bind brightness to a keyboard shortcut in 11.04:
To decrease brightness:

I don't think it's a screensaver problem. Even disabling screensaver,
when the screen goes down because of inactivity the screen freezes. In a
tty, if I kill Xorg, the screen restores and I can log in again, but
with a new session and all my work is lost

wouldn't reboot.

I can confirm this as well.
Running Ubuntu 11.04 with Nvidia graphics and there is no shadow when I right
click at the desktop.
Seems to work in Chrome and Firefox, but not Nautilus for example.
Also tried the suggested configureations from ubuntuforums, without any
luck!

PS I also find that my Calendar accounts are affected too. Let me

1. Make a panel on the screen that you CAN make a panel on.
2. Go to gconf-editor - apps- panel-toplevels
3. pick the panel you want to move and change the key for monitor

Thanks. I am aware of that and similar workarounds, but the issue
remains. The more important thing to address is to more consistently
and properly handle which screen is primary. There are not easy ways to
set this, change it, or remember for the future. I have been testing
