[Bug 767095] Re: 1 pixel icons in notification-area-applet for qt softwares (e.g. Skype)
Please, see https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/compiz/+bug/775196 It's very important you visit this bug and answer if it affects you. There is no real workaround. The bug is random and restarting notification-area-applet until it shows all tray icons is pointless. We're still with the bug and we even don't know what causes it. I think it's related to Compiz, because switching to Metacity fixes the issue. Note that you have to restart your Qt application after switching to Metacity. So it's possible it's Compiz bug. All possible help needed with this one, if it's Compiz, its team doesn't know how many people are affected by it. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-panel in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/767095 Title: 1 pixel icons in notification-area-applet for qt softwares (e.g. Skype) -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 786933] [NEW] Retrieving contact info for contact notification popup stalls UI for 3 seconds and results in high CPU usage
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: empathy Bug seems to be present in Pidgin, too, but not as prominent (often) as in Empathy, so maybe it is in libpurple? It does not matter whether full or minimal contact info is selected for contact list. Moving the mouse over the contact list results in high CPU usage (50% CPU on my EeePC Atom N450) and stalls Empathy UI (list and menu) for 3-4 seconds. After that, notification bubble comes up, but hovering over some other contact afterwards produces same stall again most of the time. Happens alsmot everytime mouse pointer is moved into Empathy window. Regression from Maverick. Never experienced that in Maverick. Not critical, but very annoying and significantly slowing down my Desktop work flow. Please fix. Re: [Bug 767095] Re: 1 pixel icons in notification-area-applet for qt softwares (e.g. Skype)
I had this problem on Unity desktop, but since then I have re-installed Ubuntu Natty from a setup disk. Before I had a weather indicator which showed an icon on the notification area. If I then started Skype I got the problem of a 1 pixel icon. However now I have no other indicators installed and I have no issues with the Skype icon whatsoever. I was and still am running Compiz. I have not tried installing any other Qt applications though. [Bug 786986] [NEW] Language should be represented by additional LC_* variables
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: language-selector The LC_* environment variables (except for LC_ALL) inherit their values from LANG when not set explicitly. LANG is in Ubuntu dedicated to represent various region specific formats, and when a selected language is represented by some other locale than the LANG value, LC_MESSAGES is set explicitly. However, there are two more LC_* variables - LC_CTYPE and LC_COLLATE - that have little to do with regional formats, and it would make more sense if they were treated in the same way as LC_MESSAGES. To achieve that, changes to the language-selector and gdm packages are needed. Such changes were suggested by Colin Watson when he sponsored this change to the im-switch package: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/im-switch/1.20ubuntu4 Even if Colin approved the change, we agreed that it is a short-term workaround. Consequently, once the above changes to language-selector and gdm are in place, the changes in version 1.20ubuntu4 of im-switch should be reversed. ** Affects: gdm (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Assignee: Gunnar Hjalmarsson (gunnarhj) Status: New ** Affects: im-switch (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Assignee: Gunnar Hjalmarsson (gunnarhj) Status: New ** Affects: language-selector (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Assignee: Gunnar Hjalmarsson (gunnarhj) Status: New ** Also affects: gdm (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: im-switch (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: gdm (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) = Gunnar Hjalmarsson (gunnarhj) ** Changed in: im-switch (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) = Gunnar Hjalmarsson (gunnarhj) ** Changed in: language-selector (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) = Gunnar Hjalmarsson (gunnarhj) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gdm in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/786986 Title: Language should be represented by additional LC_* variables -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 131145]
Created attachment 534375 Patch 2 Sorry roc and jst but I won't be able to write a test for this. This is due to this line here under nsDomDataTransfer::GetFiles: if (mEventType != NS_DRAGDROP_DROP mEventType != NS_DRAGDROP_DRAGDROP) return NS_OK; The way we handle a dataTransfer in test drags is to capture it from a dragStart event, then use it in all other events. But, the dataTransfer saves its original event type (which is _START) and there is no way in JS to change this, so it triggers the early return. I assume it's like this for a reason, eg. so a page can't read the files on a dragover event.
