After scanning my music folder with rhythmbox, about half of the mp3

playing, the slider does not move.

I've played and indexed these same files in Songbird, WinAmp, iTunes,
VLC and WMP, none of which had any related issues, so this is more
likely to be a rhythmbox bug than file corruption.

  1.) OS release: Ubuntu 8.10

length
4.) A large portion (about half) of MP3 files do not have a length listed.

[Bug 903419] Re: package libgstreamer0.10-0 0.10.35.2-1 failed to install/upgrade: ErrorMessage: dependency problems - leaving unconfigured

2011-12-12 Thread Chow Loong Jin
It looks like the dependency problems started from gstreamer0.10
-plugins-good which for some reason did not manage to pull in its
libtag1c2a dependency.

[Bug 852995] [NEW] Battery state not re-evaluated on waking after forced standby

2011-12-12 Thread Launchpad Bug Tracker
You have been subscribed to a public bug:

I'm using ubuntu 11.04. I was running on battery power, and when this
ran out, it, rightly, put the computer into standby. However, after I
plugged in the power cable, and turned the computer on, it came out of
standby briefly, before promptly putting itself back into standby due to
low battery power. I also tried removing the battery and running
exclusively on AC, but that also didn't work. I had to force a restart.

[Bug 903537] [NEW] swap is never used in Ubuntu 10.04 installed by wubi

2011-12-12 Thread Yuliang Guo
Public bug reported:

I find that my swap is never used. Because it is wubi, swap.disk is also
a file. I also add a new swap file. But it always show like this even I
change swappiness to 100

/host/ubuntu/disks/swap.disk file 261112 0 -1
/mnt/512Mb.swap file 524280 0 -2

I try to solve it according to https://help.ubuntu.com/community/SwapFaq

there is a similar problem described as "Why is my swap not being used?"

However, it only introduce a solution for swap partition rather than
swap file so that I don't know how to deal with it in wubi

Thanks a lot if any help!

This bug was fixed in the package gnome-keyring - 3.2.2-0ubuntu0.1

---
gnome-keyring (3.2.2-0ubuntu0.1) oneiric-proposed; urgency=low

  * New upstream release.
- Use g_random_int_range() for pseudo-random hash iteration
  count. (LP: #874501)
- Fix problem with 'unsafe storage' prompt deadlocking
- Remove XFCE & LXDE from OnlyShowIn for autostart files
- Make clear source of warnings from the rpc module
  * debian/patches/05_revert_order_fix.patch
- revert upstream fix which always returns most recent keyring result,
it is hard to verify for an SRU and hard to predict the possibility
  for regression

[Bug 829351] Re: Misspelled words are highlighted in yellow instead of red

2011-12-12 Thread Clint Byrum
Mathieu, the update to 3.2.2 looks good. Tough to filter out all the
autogenerated changes, but once thats done, the patches seem
straightforward and relevant. I do think that you need to fix the
version number. 3.2.2-0ubuntu1~oneiric is a bit unorthodox for SRU's,
and we generally suggest using a different scheme:

3.2.2-0ubuntu0.1

Since 3.2.2-0ubuntu2 is already in precise, this will serve fine for any
future updates for oneiric (the can increment to 3.2.2-0ubuntu0.2 ..
etc), and won't break with the usual SRU versioning scheme.

I'll go ahead and reject the upload, please just fix that one issue and
re-upload, and I'll accept it as soon as I see it.

[Bug 879923] Re: No file transfers possible with cell phones, regression since oneiric alpha

Actually, it should be related with the kernel version. Anyway, they've
updated it right now; let's see if it has been fixed!

yes, then its a gnome-icon-theme issue.

[Bug 744619] Re: Screen doesn't unlock; stuck on "Checking"

2011-12-12 Thread Kainalu
Best way I have found to switch back to your user it to use the "Switch
User" button in gnome-screensaver, and use GDM to get back in.

If you prefer terminal, "killall gnome-screensaver" is much faster than
finding the PID of the process and killing that.

I just got fed up enough to quit using it altogether, I log out now
instead.

[Bug 901084] Re: weather applet crashes on logout

2011-12-12 Thread Jamie Strandboge
Thank you for using Ubuntu and taking the time to report a bug. Your
report should contain, at a minimum, the following information so we can
better find the source of the bug and work to resolve it.

Submitting the bug about the proper source package is essential. For
help see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage . Additionally,
in the report please include:

1) The release of Ubuntu you are using, via 'cat /etc/lsb-release' or System ->
About Ubuntu.
2) The version of the package you are using, via 'dpkg -l PKGNAME | cat' or by
checking in Synaptic.
3) What happened and what you expected to happen.

The Ubuntu community has also created debugging procedures for a wide
variety of packages at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProcedures .
Following the debugging instructions for the affected package will make
your bug report much more complete. Thanks!

[Bug 901096] Re: it will not let open any thing in archive

2011-12-12 Thread Jamie Strandboge
Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu
better. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but this appears
to be a "regular" (non-security) bug. I have unmarked it as a security
issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to
cross privilege boundaries nor directly cause loss of data/privacy.
Please feel free to report any other bugs you may find.
