[Bug 928767] Re: Since latest update Gtalk and MSN no longer will connect

2012-02-21 Thread psypher
Has the Online accounts feature been removed. I installed a fresh copy
of 12.04 and it no longer exists in the user menu or the system
settings. I have now gone and deleted my online accounts which is
still present on my 64bit machine. I have been working on this install
since 12.04 was released and added my accounts as per normal IN empathy
and now they working. I did try this the other day but made no
difference.

I suspect the online accounts feature was causing an issue hence why it
has been completely removed.

For me this bug is fixed

I think this bug effects everyone, but nobody might notice it because
every average user uses only the GUI and dialogs to shutdown. Who would
use the dbus-send command to shutdown/reboot the computer except of

[Bug 918580] Re: System Settings 'User Interface' name is bad in 12.04

2012-02-21 Thread Mark East
@nuthinking Ok. Out of interest, what ever happened to the launcher size
bar because my latest update appears to have removed it completely from
the options? Was this intentional?

[Bug 937347] Re: gnome-session restarts when I try to play videos

2012-02-21 Thread Paolo Rotolo
Thanks for reporting this bug and any supporting documentation. Since
this bug has enough information provided for a developer to begin work,
I'm going to mark it as confirmed and let them handle it from here.
Thanks for taking the time to make Ubuntu better!

[Bug 829673] Re: FFE: No easy way to turn the network menu on/off

2012-02-21 Thread Launchpad Bug Tracker
This bug was fixed in the package network-manager-applet -
0.9.2.0+git.20120126t000800.5151959-0ubuntu3

---
network-manager-applet (0.9.2.0+git.20120126t000800.5151959-0ubuntu3) precise;
urgency=low

  * debian/patches/lp829673_gconf_hide_applet.patch: allow toggling the applet
visibility. (LP: #829673)
  * debian/patches/nm-applet-use-indicator.patch: completely replace the old
wireless menu item creation code overriding NMNetworkMenuItem objects to
rewrite it more simply with GtkImageMenuItems. This should really take care
of the memory leaks. (LP: #930491)

[Bug 923749] Re: New push mouse offscreen feature really difficult to get

2012-02-21 Thread Filippos Kolyvas
After falsely subscribing to bug 871986, i see that now i'm in the right place.
After reading the comments on thiw bug, i confirm that it easier for the
launcher to reveal after the adjustments proposed.
I still however have to hit hard the left part of the screen to reveal the
launcher, something that i don't consider a right setting, because of two
reasons:
1. It is not an obvious decision to start hitting the left side of the
screen. An obvious thing to do is to leave the cursor there for a little
longer, something that sadly does not work.
2. It reminds me of the you just need a bigger hammer logic, of which i am no
t a fan.
I also want to point out that this cannot be solved when using 12.04 in
virtualbox guest installation, as pressuring left with the mouse just a) exits
the mouse off the guest OS onto the host OS if the host OS is on never hide
launcher setting, or b) reveals the Host OS launcher if the host OS is on
autohide or avoid window launcher setting.
