[Bug 962686] [NEW] Media controls do not appear in the HUD when Rhythmbox is hidden
Public bug reported: (Ubuntu 12.04, up to date as of midnight on the 23rd of March 2012. Rhythmbox is version 2.96-0ubuntu3 ) When Rhythmbox is hidden, it continues playing through the playlist. Media controls - previous, pause/play, next - are provided under the Sound menu. However, they are not exported into the HUD: Expected behaviour: I'd like to be able to find "pre[vious]", "next", "pause" and "play" in the HUD. What I get: search token: pause Edit > Paste Sound > Choose Playlist > Play Queue Help > Translate this Application... File > Close Window Tabs > ccooke@bauxite: ~ search token: sound Sound > Rhythmbox Sound > Choose Playlist > Play Queue Sound > Sound Settings... Sound > Mute Terminal > Change Profile > Personal (Yes, I can get to ryhtmbox (if I happen to know that rhythmbox is the thing playing music, which is quite possibly not something that a new user would have picked up yet) - but the media controls would be an improvement) ** Affects: rhythmbox (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to rhythmbox in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/962686 Title: Media controls do not appear in the HUD when Rhythmbox is hidden To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/rhythmbox/+bug/962686/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 962629] [NEW] rendering pdf converted from ps
Public bug reported: I find that when evince opens certain pdf files most of the contents are blank while Okular can display these same files with no problem. [Bug 962562] [NEW] terminal window gets square corners after being maximized
Public bug reported: After having maximized to fullscreen the terminal window and re- minimized it, its corners are squared and not rounded anymore. It happens one time evey two: when I maximize the window with square corners and re-minimize it, it gets the original round corners. Repeating this procedure gets square corners and so on... Using Ubuntu 11.10 64bit with all updates, upgraded from 11.04. gnome-terminal package 3.0.1-0ubuntu3 ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.10 Package: gnome-terminal 3.0.1-0ubuntu3 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.0.0-16.29-generic 3.0.20 Uname: Linux 3.0.0-16-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 1.23-0ubuntu4 Architecture: amd64 Date: Thu Mar 22 22:16:03 2012 ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/gnome-terminal InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 11.04 "Natty Narwhal" - Release amd64 (20110427.1) SourcePackage: gnome-terminal UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to oneiric on 2011-10-14 (160 days ago) ** Affects: gnome-terminal (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug apport-lpi oneiric running-unity -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-terminal in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/962562 Title: terminal window gets square corners after being maximized To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-terminal/+bug/962562/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 899858] Re: regression in gvfs to connect/browse using obex
"sudo hciconfig hci0 sspmode 0" This was not needed (on fully updated Precise). "gvfs-bin_1.11.4-0ubuntu2+jml1_amd64.deb" I assumed this package was uploaded twice and just used the first one. Installation of packages went without any problems and then i rebooted the PC. I tested all 3 GUI options: -Browse Files on Device ... -Browse files ... -Bluetooth Settings ... -> Devices -> Browse files They all worked the same way and opened up Nautilus with mounted device in root folder of device. I tested: -Copy to Desktop -Drag & Drop to Desktop -Move to Desktop -Copy from Desktop and paste to folder on device -Drag & Drop from Desktop to folder on device -Cut from Desktop and paste to folder on device Everything worked fine and i had to confirm every step on the device. When moving files from Device -> Desktop i was asked to allow deleting file from device after the move was made. Basically everything works fine. Then i tested opening files on the device. Pictures, PDF and text files everything opened normally on Ubuntu. The only exception i found was .odf file. Probably LibreOffice related BUG. Problems i noticed was: 1.) If you want to paste file to device and wait too long "Not authorized" error occurs. I think this is normal behavior but maybe interval should last few seconds longer. 2.) If file on device is of the same name as file on the location it will be sent this will fail and "Another operation in progress" error will occur and nothing i mentioned above will work after that. Solution is to unmount the device in Nautilus and start again. 3.) If opening file directly from device in Gedit this does work but saving the file will fail. This is just something i noticed and it's probably Gedit related. Basically everything works fine and i hope to see this fix in regular updates soon!
