However, the log continues as if the stream is actually playing, when it is not. ** Attachment added: log of track change in Rhythmbox for 'Absolute Radio' https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gstreamer0.10/+bug/946531/+attachment/2966269/+files/rhythmbox.log -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gstreamer0.10 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/946531 Title: Rhythmbox stops after every internet radio track on 'Absolute Classic Rock' (first in supplied list) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gstreamer0.10/+bug/946531/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 965941] [NEW] Microphone (web cam's microphone) settings changes after restart
You have been subscribed to a public bug: It's about Ubuntu 12.04 (precise pangolin). I know, that Baltix is not using it yet, but there are plans to build it on it :) So: I'm using my web cam's microphone, which is Logitech HD Webcam C270 (http://www.logitech.com/en-gb/webcam- communications/webcams/devices/7079). The annoying thing is that after some restarts (not each), input setting for microphone is changed from C270 web cam's microphone to sound card's. It's very annoying as Skype should be restarted, so changes would be reflected to it's settings. I believe that this is related somehow to the fact, that webcam and it's microphone is connected via usb - not via sound card's sound input. ** Affects: gnome-control-center (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: baltix Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: microphone pangolin webcam -- Microphone (web cam's microphone) settings changes after restart https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/965941 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in Ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 969073] [NEW] Seahorse does not allow keyring browsing and accessing passwords
Public bug reported: After upgrading to Ubuntu 12.04 it is no longer possible to access keyrings and passwords in the seahorse GUI. It is possible to search for passwords/keys, but it is impossible to open (as in browse) the keyring and select a password. [Bug 968898] Re: screen background picture not cached (private triaging)
Ok, it is /usr/share/backgrounds To change the background we usually use System Settings - Appearance and in this way everythings works well, but we can also right-click on an image and select 'Use as background' (or something similar), in this case nautilus kick gnome-settings-daemon that copy the directory of the image and paste it in the background code but forget to copy the image into /usr/share/background too and to update the background pasted dir with the new generated /usr/share/background/copied+image. Under this optic we cannot assign the bug to gnome-control-center that usually manage the settings for the background, but we have to blame gnome-settings-daemon. --- Ubuntu Bug Squad volunteer triager http://wiki.ubuntu.com/BugSquad ** Package changed: casper (Ubuntu) = gnome-settings-daemon (Ubuntu) ** Summary changed: - screen background picture not cached (private triaging) + screen background picture not cached ** Summary changed: - screen background picture not cached + background picture not cached ** Visibility changed to: Public -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-settings-daemon in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/968898 Title: background picture not cached To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-settings-daemon/+bug/968898/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 969154] [NEW] Unable to set 1920x1080 resolution in Ubuntu 12.04 Beta2 as a VMWare Workstation 8 guest
Public bug reported: My host system is Win7 64bit. My notebook has 1920x1080 native resolutions. I’m running VMWare Workstation 8 for desktop virtualization. Today I’ve installed Ubuntu 12.04 Beta2 as a guest. I was unable to set 1920x1080 resolution on the guest side. The gnome- control-center display command offered me a lot of other resolutions, but 1920x1080. I’ve also installed the vmware-tools, because I assumed the absence of that tool is the problem. However I’ve had to realize the problem still exist after a successful vmware-tools installation. (Yep, I did a reboot after the installation.) I have to say my Ubuntu 11.10 works like a charm, so for that version the 1920x1080 not a problem at all. If you need more information to fix this problem, I’m glade to help you. [Bug 899858] Re: regression in gvfs to connect/browse using obex
I did some more testings: 1. checked the source, there are two libdbus-glib functions locally implemented in daemon/dbus-gmain.c, which are - dbus_connection_setup_with_g_main - dbus_server_setup_with_g_main as talked with seb128 and pitti, I did a trial building after renaming these functions to local_*. gvfs-mount exited immediately with the error message below: $ gvfs-mount obex://[00:1f:5c:01:ac:64] Error mounting location: DBus error org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply: Message did not receive a reply (timeout by message bus) Note this happened almost immediately, and followed by a crash report of gvfsd-obexftp, title of which being: gvfsd-obexftp crashed with SIGSEGV in _dbus_message_new_from_gerror() 2. Confirmed that making libgvfsdaemon statically linked is enough to solve this issue. Attached is the minimal change I used. ** Patch added: fix-lp899858.patch https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gvfs/+bug/899858/+attachment/2967266/+files/fix-lp899858.patch -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gvfs in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/899858 Title: regression in gvfs to connect/browse using obex To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gvfs/+bug/899858/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 899858] Re: regression in gvfs to connect/browse using obex
Checked with daemon/Makefile.am, obexftp is special because of a different linkage below: gvfsd_obexftp_LDADD = $(OBEXFTP_LIBS) $(EXPAT_LIBS) $(libraries) if USE_HAL gvfsd_obexftp_LDADD += $(HAL_LIBS) endif After configuration, OBEXFTP_LIBS is OBEXFTP_LIBS = -ldbus-glib-1 -ldbus-1 -lpthread -lrt -lgobject-2.0 -lglib-2.0 -lbluetooth So apparently libdbus-glib-1 has the priority to be linked first, and all invocations of the dbus-glib functions call into the system wide library firstly. libgvfsdaemon.so doesn't not link to dbus-glib-1, but links to the local dbus-gmain.c, which means some other calls into libgvfsdaemon.so could end up calling the functions in dbus-gmain.c, which creates a more complicated mixture. At this moment, and considering the upstream is working on a solution, I believe a quicker way would be to make libgvfsdaemon statically linked. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gvfs in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/899858 Title: regression in gvfs to connect/browse using obex To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gvfs/+bug/899858/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
