The ubuntu-sponsors team has been subscribed to the bug report so that they can review and hopefully sponsor the debdiff. [Bug 951123] Re: nautilus not natural scrolling
Sebastien: I've tested the if my macbook pro pad registers natural scrolling and it does not. To clarify, when my fingers glide over the pad towards me, the on-screen document scrolls to the bottom of the page rather than to the top (as it should in natural/reverse scrolling). So unless setting 5 before 4 in .Xmodmap is screwing up a gtk's already implemented, it's still a problem on pads, nor is it working with mice. As for gnome picking up this feature because it's part of gtk, well, I've looked at Unity's mouse preference pane and there's nothing called smooth scrolling there, much like the case with nautilus' preference pane, too. As for that term, "smooth scrolling" is confusing and reading about it on the net shows that some talk about literally "smooth" transitions from top to bottom (& vice versa) in any document, as opposed to jerky movement (jumping 2 or 3 lines with each movement of the wheel of the mouse). Again, to be clear, I believe both Ronald and I are not referring to this feature. We're only concerned with, as is this bug, the cause and effect of directionality of movement with any and all pointer apparatus. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/951123 Title: nautilus not natural scrolling To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/951123/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 976222] [NEW] The "paste" option in the popup from right button of the mouse looks like "disabled" when it can paste after a file copy operation or a file cut operation
Public bug reported: If I cut or copy a file in a directory and I show the popup created by the right button of the mouse, the option of "paste" that file looks like disabled - but I can paste the file in the same directory or another directory normally. 1 - In nautilus, cut or copy a file; 2 - show the popup from right button of the mouse in the same directory from the original file or in another directory (or in the desktop area); 3 - the option of "past" looks like disabled, but it works (pastes normally). The "paste" option only looks like anabled when I change the theme of Ubuntu. ** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: copy disabled mouse paste -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/976222 Title: The "paste" option in the popup from right button of the mouse looks like "disabled" when it can paste after a file copy operation or a file cut operation To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/976222/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 976214] [NEW] nautilus not showing copy/paste correctly
Public bug reported: I have attempted to get screen-shots, but apparently the print screen key does not work while I have something right clicked. I do have some pictures on my phone though so I will upload those. I have two partitions on my hard drive, I want to copy some data from the storage partition onto the / partition (the storage partition is mounted by me clicking it in the "Devices" section on nautilus) Now, when I right click something in the storage partition and go to "Copy" it brings up an outline instead of the usual orange highlighted color. Regardless, I can click it. When I go to the area in the / partition I would like to copy it to (/home/user/Documents) and I right click, the paste button is blanked out. However, I can still hover over it and press it, and it will still copy.
