Public bug reported: When the zoom in evince is set to 100% the page is really small. (see attachment). The page size is correctly set to a4-paper (as you also can see in the attached screenshot). For showing the page at about the size of a4-paper I have to zoom in to about 1000% (hard to determine, because the zoom-value it is not shown at the toolbar for values of more than 400%). Public bug reported: in 12.04 the utility (palimpsest / gnome-disk-utility / gnome-disks ) has a useful feature which is : - Power Off Drive So basically, if you have a NTFS external drive that you plug through USB, and want to unplug it, you open the utilitu and - unmount - power off then unplug. Today, after upgrading to 12.10 (the new palimpsest), the utility got rid of this feature. All we can do now is unmount the external drive. Not powering off an external drive before unplugging it may be dangerous. Same problem on Ubuntu 12.10, kernel 3.5.0-18-generic. As soon as I try to create a connection the system freezes. Sometimes it seems as only the usb bus is frozen. I can't toggle my keyboard num lock, move the mouse pointer, ... but the screen will still be updating. My nautilus version is 3.4.2 and the icons i use are located in /usr/share/icons. Please tell me if this works for you: 1. Create a link to a mounted hard drive (/mnt/Windows for me) 2. Place the link in a subfolder in your home directory (~/Devices for me) 3. Set an icon on the link using right-click/properties 4. Open the link then add it to places (using the places menu) 5. The device should appear in your places with the right icon 6. Open the terminal then type killall nautilus while nautilus is still open 7.
