[Bug 983291] Re: Screen Rotation options only Counterclockwise Clockwise

2012-12-08 Thread Kari Smolander
I confirm that this bug exists in 12.10. I have only one display (a Sony
TV) in my HTPC. I can select only clockwise and counterclockwise. No
normal option is present. I must soon change a distro if I cannot find a
solution to this.

[Bug 1087969] [NEW] Touchpad settings in Ubuntu 13.04 do not allow horizontal edge scrolling.

2012-12-08 Thread Esokrates
Public bug reported:

I am on Ubuntu 13.04 daily build. Vertical edge scrolling is enabled out
of the box, but horizontal is not and there is no way to enable that
through the control center. It would make sense to enable horizontal
edge scrolling too by default or at least give an option to do so. I am
aware of the following bug:

[Bug 1084188] Re: should unmount the devices owned by an user who logs out

2012-12-08 Thread Martin Pitt
This is a bit tricky. udisks, and system D-BUS services in general, have
no idea about user sessions. This could be done in gnome-session on
shutdown, or perhaps more robustly in lightdm when it sees the user
session going down. Once we let systemd or upstart control the user
session, we would also have a robust place to hook this in, but until
then I think it would be best to do this in gnome-session.

[Bug 1087920] Re: gimp crashes after save as

2012-12-08 Thread RaduStoica
Hi,

This might be a duplicate of
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gimp/+bug/912909 .

Could you try a couple of things?

First, it would help to get a stack trace. Open a terminal and run
gimp --stack-trace-mode always, try to save as and copy here the lines
you get in the terminal.

Second, look through the comments on the bug I have mentioned. Maybe a
suggestion from there might fix your problem.

  Thanks.

[Bug 1088008] [NEW] gstreamer 'shout2send' plugin is compiled without webm support

2012-12-08 Thread Calvin Walton
Public bug reported:

The ubuntu precise(12.04) version of the gstreamer0.10-plugins-good
(0.10.31-1ubuntu1) package has a version of the shout2send element that
is compiled with webm support disabled.

The webm support in that element is autodetected at compilation time: it is
enabled if the plugin is built against a version of libshout ≥ 2.3.1
(see
http://cgit.freedesktop.org/gstreamer/gst-plugins-good/tree/ext/shout2/gstshout2.c?h=0.10#n74
 )

Since precise already ships libshout 2.3.1 (libshout3_2.3.1-1ubuntu2),
solving this issue should simply require a rebuild of the gstreamer0.10
-plugins-good package.

(You can check by doing 'gst-inspect shout2send', which currently gives the
following output:)

[Bug 62430] Re: rhythmbox doesn't do anything with .pls given on the command line

2012-12-08 Thread Josh
I don't understand why you would make an application that doesn't
properly handle a particular file the default handler for that file.

I mean, someone had to have made a conscious decision at some point
something along the lines of this: Here is a .pls file. I'm creating an
entry in the operating system's MIME database for the .pls file so it
will open with Rhythmbox, even though I realize nothing will happen when
the user opens the file. But I'm going to do it anyways.

I expect that it somehow involves a political decision to use Rhythmbox
as the default media player because Rhythmbox is the iTunes of Ubuntu,
ie a way of turning Linux into a cash machine for Jane Silber.

 Hi,

This might be a duplicate of
 https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gimp/+bug/912909 .

Could you try a couple of things?

First, it would help to get a stack trace. Open a terminal and run
gimp --stack-trace-mode always, try to save as and copy here the lines
 you get in the terminal.

Second, look through the comments on the bug I have mentioned. Maybe a
suggestion from there might fix your problem.

Thanks.

Hi,

no aid - suggested deletion of ~/.config/dconf done, the same behavior.
Open file, then save as another nome crashes Gimp.

Stack-trace is a little bit short, maybe I need configure smth.

pietro@pietro-acer:~$ gimp --stack-trace-mode always

(gimp:4439): Gtk-CRITICAL **: IA__gtk_tree_model_get: assertion
`GTK_IS_TREE_MODEL (tree_model)' failed
gimp: fatal error: Errore di segmentazione (aka segfault)

(script-fu:4445): LibGimpBase-WARNING **: script-fu: gimp_wire_read(): error
pietro@pietro-acer:~$

Don't hesitate ask next infos, if I can dig them from my box.

Thanks to you :)

Pietro
