[Bug 1098301] [NEW] brasero crashed with SIGSEGV in brasero_task_ctx_report_progress()
Public bug reported: When Brasero crashed, the last message I had noticed was Finalizing disc. The disc turned out to have been successfully burned, but maybe that's evident if this function comes after burning is done. LP suggested bug 864216 as a possible dupe -- not exactly the same function so I filed this separately. I don't know enough to judge if might end up being a dupe. Thanks. [Bug 1096485] [NEW] Gimp disappears after switching or opening another application
You have been subscribed to a public bug: As an example if I am in gimp and switch over to Google Chrome, and than try to switch back again, Gimp disappears. If I than go to the application bar/task bar and click on the icon for gimp (which has 3 arrows indicating there are 3 windows open) nothing happens. If I hold alt+tab I can see it in the menu and when selected nothing happens. When I right click on the taskbar icon and close the application and than relaunch it, the GImp application appears as it should until I repeat the process. Opening any application over gimp will make gimp disappear, and never reappear.. chrome was what I had open at the time as an example. ** Affects: gimp (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: bot-comment -- Gimp disappears after switching or opening another application https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1096485 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gimp in Ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 1096485] Re: Gimp disappears after switching or opening another application
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. This bug did not have a package associated with it, which is important for ensuring that it gets looked at by the proper developers. You can learn more about finding the right package at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage . I have classified this bug as a bug in gimp. When reporting bugs in the future please use apport by using 'ubuntu- bug' and the name of the package affected. You can learn more about this functionality at https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs. ** Package changed: ubuntu = gimp (Ubuntu) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gimp in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1096485 Title: Gimp disappears after switching or opening another application To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gimp/+bug/1096485/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 963731] Re: System Settings - Not obvious which settings in Displays panel are display-specific
Currently, selecting System Settings - Displays on systems with multiple monitors and the NVidia drivers produces an error dialog that says RANDR extension is not present - as a result, at least one of my users is unable even to access the sticky edge setting (they worked around it via CCSM, but that's not a path to resolution that I'd want to generally encourage). Between this being NVidia specific and the addition of XRandR support to 304 drivers and later, I'm not filing a bug for that, but just as Chris Schmidt suggested earlier, I first looked for the setting under Appearance Behavior. I can understand the the reasoning for locating the options in one place or another, but I do find it bothersome that an error related to the display specifically should prevent access to other settings that aren't actually dependent on a display-level feature. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/963731 Title: System Settings - Not obvious which settings in Displays panel are display-specific To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ayatana-design/+bug/963731/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1098419] [NEW] Panel should be right-clickable when window is maximised with global menu enabled
Public bug reported: Currently, it is possible to right click on the name bar of a windows to get the drop-down menu allowing the following actions: - Minimise - Maximise - Move - Resize - Always on top - Always on visible workspace - Only on this workspace - Move to workspace x - Move to workspace y - Move to another workspace ... - Close However, when a window is maximised and the top bar is merged with the panel, allowing the global menu, there is no way to access this menu, except going back to windowed mode, thus adding an extra step to execute an action like moving the window to another workspace. WHAT SHOULD HAPPEN: The top panel's empty space should be right-clickable in order to be able to access those options as easily as in windowed mode. Another option, not as good as the first one, would be to add another drop-down menu in the global menu, that would appear only when the window is maximised. The advantage would be the ability to use those actions with the HUD; however, adding a Window drop-down menu would interfere with apps that already have one, like LibreOffice Writer for example.
