[Bug 1168293] Re: No Certificate dialog frozen

[Bug 1130399] Re: Nautilus CIFS Windows Share Mount Bug
Please do not change this to expired. You guys keep passing the buck back and forth: GNOME developers are no longer working on version 3.4, so unfortunately there will not be any bug fixes for that version. But it's the version shipped with Ubuntu's LTS release, so you may get a fix from Ubuntu. I suggest going back to your Launchpad report and push for a patch there. [Bug 1084851] Re: No system-wide proxy for automatic proxy setting method
Of that I'm not really certain. I filed this report because as a user the behaviour surprised me that some things would be able to access the network and others wouldn't. Having dug into the problem a little it's apparent that it's not trivial to solve - that doesn't mean that it's not worth solving, though. Perhaps Ubuntu could integrate the PACRunner project[1], or something similar, and teach the various network dependant tools to talk to that rather than relying on environment variables? Or perhaps the tools can be taught to use libproxy[2]? At the very least maybe we should alert the user that the automatic settings will result in various things, such as software installation, possibly not working. I suppose which resolution is chosen depends on how much of a priority seamless networking on proxied connections is for Ubuntu and the engineers involved. 1. http://git.kernel.org/cgit/network/connman/pacrunner.git 2. https://code.google.com/p/libproxy/ -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1084851 Title: No system-wide proxy for automatic proxy setting method To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-control-center/+bug/1084851/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 1169640] [NEW] GDM fails to start after system crash
You have been subscribed to a public bug: My system hangs every once in a while when exiting the game HoN. Usually it was fine just to reset the system, now GDM fails to start and I can't seem to fix it. We narrowed it down to what appears to be an upstart issue after some tracking with the help of a gnome dev. I can start gdm manually as root, but during boot it only gives me [failed]. This happens even before gdm is actually started so there are no gdm logs created. I've altered /etc/init/gdm.conf by including echo's but it never even gets to the script part on line 24. I.e. the part in which gdm actually gets started. I've installed lightdm to get a running system again and that does work. I do, however, prefer to get gdm back, without a drastic complete system reinstall measure. Please see the original upstream bug report for more details and things I've tried so far. Why is upstart failing to launch gdm while it does manage to launch lightdm? What could be the cause of the problem and how do I fix it? [Bug 839157] Re: Bluetooth applet (OBEX send/browse) does not work since Natty (after bluetoothd 4.84 exactly)
Hi I looked at it again, this time in Ubuntu 12.10. It's still broken. HOWEVER If auto-authorize is set on the phone, IT WORKS!! The phones file directories open (in not-unreasonable time) Otherwise, you go through the process of typing in a confirmation number in the phone, then typing the same number into a dialog in Linux, and NOTHING. SO the remaining problem has to do with the authorization step. Fix this, and we'll be HALFWAY THERE!!! Because... BT file browsing is a SIGSEV on 64-bit machines. Made a separate bug for that. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-bluetooth in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/839157 Title: Bluetooth applet (OBEX send/browse) does not work since Natty (after bluetoothd 4.84 exactly) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/bluez/+bug/839157/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 1147639] Re: Cannot add IRC account details
Can you add details for any other protocols except Facebook and Google? I am seeing the same bug with all protocols except those two, and I'm seeing this on all my fresh installs of raring, so it seems to me like something more serious then a low priority bug. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to empathy in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1147639 Title: Cannot add IRC account details To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/empathy/+bug/1147639/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 1168760] [NEW] Desktop files disappear offscreen when second monitor is connected
You have been subscribed to a public bug: When there is a second monitor attached and when the second monitor is on the right and the top of the second monitor is higher then the top of the primary monitor (on the left), then when one clicks the organize desktop button, the icons will start at where the top of the monitor would be if the tops were both lined up. (see http://picpaste.com /ubuntu_bug-l448hoUU.png). Icons on my computer are arrange top-to- bottom, left-to-right; the default setting. [Bug 1105232] Re: Save file dialog causes programme crash when renaming a folder
This is happening with me as well. All I need to do is right-click on a file in Nautilus and select Rename, and then my laptop's fan sspins up and after 30 seconds or so Nautilus terminates.
