[Bug 1169307] Re: compare, dropbox, rename: none working
I found that if I downloaded nautilus-renamer from https://launchpad.net/nautilus-renamer (v.4.0) instead of the older version offered at it's official home at http://gtk-apps.org/content/show.php/Renamer?content=87601 then it works with Nautilus 3.6 I've also re-installed Dropbox v2.0.5 from the dropbox.com website and it now works in Nautilus 3.6. I've just upgraded to the pre-release Dropbox v2.1.11, and that is also working with Nautilus 3.6. [Bug 1170164] Re: can't switch input method at all
** Description changed: Normally gnome-terminal allows the user to switch the input method by pressing a special key combination. Sometimes gnome-terminal gets into a state where it seems to ignore the special key combination for switching the input method in ibus - it is permanently locked in the default input method for English. There is no clear pattern of usage or trigger for when it happens. 1. The problem is not solved by resetting the terminal using the menu Terminal - Reset, or Terminal - Reset and Clear 2. The problem is also not solved even by starting a new gnome-terminal from the menu, File - Open Terminal - Default 3. However, using the command-line to start a new terminal with the factory disabled does make input method switching work again: gnome-terminal --disable-factory but doing this obviously loses all the session information in the previous gnome-terminal. + 4. Also, when the problem occurs, opening a new tab re-enables the input mode to be switched in the new tab as well as in the original tab. However, the problem usually re-occurs soon in the original tab. This has been happening in all versions of Ubuntu since 10.04 until 12.04.02 precise, with gnome-terminal up to and including version 3.4.1.1-0ubuntu1 and ibus version 1.4.1-3ubuntu1 This is a really annoying bug. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-terminal in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1170164 Title: can't switch input method at all To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ibus/+bug/1170164/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1160441] Re: Calendar is still in English despite French is selected as the Language during the installation
@psivaa: So you meant indicator-datetime, after all. That's what I first thought. ;-) It's strange that the indicator-datetime version in my PPA doesn't fix the issue for you. It works fine for me, and the reporter of bug 1072019 just confirmed that it works for him. Actually, Screen_1.jpg does not confirm the issue you say you have. [Bug 802466] Re: shotwell doesn't work with google's 2-step verification
Adding a save password feature for use with application passwords is not 'hacky'. compromising on the security of my Google accounts by disabling two factor authentication is not advice I'm going to take. All the big account providers are offering two factor authentication, so this suggestion borders on absurd. It's now been nearly two years since the this was reported and the proposed solution is '50%' finished. [Bug 802466] Re: shotwell doesn't work with google's 2-step verification
Hi David, It's now been nearly two years since the this was reported and the proposed solution is '50%' finished. By 50% finished, do you mean that the Picasa Connector uses OAuth but the YouTube Connector, as yet, does not? About this, I can only say that we're working on it. Keep in mind that we at Yorba (the upstream developers of Shotwell) have very limited resources. On the upside, the YouTube OAuth migration may be something that gets done within the next few weeks. We've prioritized the development of this feature because we're not sure how long the legacy ClientLogin API we've been using will still function.
