[Bug 1184984] [NEW] When one tab only left, allow us to use the Close tab keyboard shortcut to close that (even if that'll close the window)
Public bug reported: Would be cool if, as on Google Chrome (and probably Chromium in fact) but also as on Terminal (on OS X), when one tab only left, we can still use the Close tab keyboard shorcut to close this tab, even if the window is closed then. Currently if we've many tabs, we can use this shortcut to close all the tabs, but this behavior is blocked on the last tab and we need to switch to the Close window keyboard shortcut. This behavior is understandable. However, the last tab is still a tab! So, it seems normal to allow us to close this (last) tab with the shortcut Close tab. It's logical too. So, Close window still is useful, for example to close 10 tabs in one time. But when we have a window with 1 tab / 1 tab left, as it's a tab, the Close tab keyboard shortcut is logical to use, even if that will close the window then (and terminate the process therefore on Linux). I used to do this logical behavior on Terminal (on OS X). So visibly, it make sense to Apple too, not just me. ^_^ But also on all OS when using Google Chrome: having many windows with many tabs in each, and just having to keep my left hand on the Close tab keyboard shortcut and I can close very quickly all the tabs of the window 3, then on the window 2 (that appears because of window 3 was therefore closed), then on window 1… until 0 tab left. OS: Ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS up-to-date. Gnome-terminal version concerned: I think all, even probably the one used in the Ubuntu 13.10 branch. ** Affects: gnome-terminal (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: close enhancement keyboard last shortcut tab window -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-terminal in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1184984 Title: When one tab only left, allow us to use the Close tab keyboard shortcut to close that (even if that'll close the window) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-terminal/+bug/1184984/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

^_^ - But also on all OS when using Google Chrome: having many windows with many tabs in each, and just having to keep my left hand on the Close tab keyboard shortcut and I can close very quickly all the tabs of the window 3, then on the window 2 (that appears because of window 3 was therefore closed), then on window 1… until 0 tab left. + But also on all OS when using Google Chrome: having many windows with many tabs in each, and just having to keep my left hand on the Close tab keyboard shortcut and I can close very quickly all the tabs of the window 3, then on the window 2 (that appears because of window 3 was therefore closed), then on window 1… until 0 tab left. And at this point on GNU/Linux, this terminates all Google Chrome related processes. + + N.B.: If this not becoming the new default behavior, can be added as an + option/preference. Always good to let people defining the behavior they + want, at least, then. :) OS: Ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS up-to-date. [Bug 1075923] Re: nautilus hangs copying large directories from a samba share
I'm finding with 13.04 64bit latest updates, I can't copy more that 50MB with gvfs from any source before it locks up in kernel and you get a set of unkillable/defunct processes that you have to reboot to clear. I have tried copying with Nautilus or rsync, and I have tried copy from a SMB source and from a USB/iPad source. Universally anything gvfs touches is soon broken if you transfer more that ~50Mb of files. [Bug 1185053] [NEW] Saucy server images do not boot for 20130528
You have been subscribed to a public bug: On server boot, I see the initial screen asking to select language and other options. Then when I select the option to install, I get nothing but a black screen. Taking quiet out of the boot args has no effect on this. The image from 20130527 boots fine, but 20130528 does not. This happens on both i386 and amd64. I've not tested on hardware yet, but I've tried this on both virtualbox and kvm, which both fail to boot. The changes since yesterday's image are few: -gcc-4.8-base:amd64 4.8.0-7ubuntu1 +gcc-4.8-base:amd64 4.8.0-8ubuntu1 -libgcc1:amd64 1:4.8.0-7ubuntu1 +libgcc1:amd64 1:4.8.0-8ubuntu1 -libplymouth2:amd64 0.8.8-0ubuntu6.1 +libplymouth2:amd64 0.8.8-0ubuntu7 -libstdc++6:amd64 4.8.0-7ubuntu1 +libstdc++6:amd64 4.8.0-8ubuntu1 -plymouth 0.8.8-0ubuntu6.1 +plymouth 0.8.8-0ubuntu7 Of those, plymouth seems to be the most likely culprit. ** Affects: systemd (Ubuntu) Importance: Critical Status: Triaged ** Affects: systemd (Ubuntu Saucy) Importance: Critical Status: Triaged ** Tags: qa-daily-testing -- Saucy server images do not boot for 20130528 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1185053 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to systemd in Ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1185095] [NEW] Nautilus don't refresh
Public bug reported: Nautilus do not automatically update altered file- and folder status (eg. cut pasted away files) without user performing a manual refresh on the partition (or folder) in question. This problem concerns NFS mounted folders but also to a rather considerable extenth my (only) additional local partition (/media/Local), where some actions (eg. cut/paste) also requires a manual refresh. Changes made in home folder refreshes automatically without any further user intervention. NFS Trash has disappeared: I don't know if this behavior is in any way related to the afore mentioned, but moving files to Trash from NFS mounted partitions, results in a dialog promting that the files will be permnently deleted - which they in fact are, if you click OK. [Bug 1184186] Re: Macbook running Ubuntu 13.04 stop working when suspended
Well, I did a whole bunch of things. I think most notably I switched to Nvidia's driver for X. I also installed macfanctld. I wasn't taking note of exactly what I did, because I didn't expect either of those things to affect this, but it seems at some point suspend/resume started working properly again. I have no idea why. :) Leonardo, are you using Nvidia's driver? [Bug 1173249] Re: update-software-center AttributeError during upgrade from 12.10 to 13.04
That crash is certainly independent of this SRU. The crash in bug #1183182 appears to be the result of corrupted cache data or similar, causing Python to segfault when trying to load the data into memory. ** Tags removed: verification-failed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to pygobject in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1173249 Title: update-software-center AttributeError during upgrade from 12.10 to 13.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/aptdaemon/+bug/1173249/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
