[Bug 1192054] [NEW] Logitech g930 randomly loses sound capability.
Public bug reported: I am attempting to assist a friend in diagnosing their ubuntu 13.04 with pulse. They have a Logitech g930 headset that worked fine when they are on their Windows machine (completely separate system) however, when she plugs it into her laptop (Ubuntu) it will work fine for a while, and then randomly drops. If she goes to the output devices screen, clicks the headset icon, then goes back to her music/movie/whatever the sound returns. Any assistance on this would be great. ** Affects: gnome-control-center (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Incomplete ** Changed in: gnome-control-center (Ubuntu) Status: New = Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1192054 Title: Logitech g930 randomly loses sound capability. [Bug 1192104] [NEW] Shortcuts very faint / invisible in menus
Public bug reported: In the drop down menus that appear when clicking the settings button, or the down arrow button that is left of it (no idea what it is supposed to represent), the font used for the shortcuts for active menu options is so faint as to be invisible - ie I had no idea that they were there. Only the shortcuts for the inactive menu options are visible. When the mouse is hovered over a menu option, the color scheme chagnes and the shortcut becomes visible. Given the visibility of the disabled options, it is hard to believe this could have been an intentional design choice. igibbs@office:~$ lsb_release -rd Description:Ubuntu 13.04 Release:13.04 ii nautilus 1:3.6.3-0ubuntu16 ** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Attachment added: Where are the shortcuts? https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1192104/+attachment/3706347/+files/Workspace%201_007.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1192104 Title: Shortcuts very faint / invisible in menus To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/1192104/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1192020] Re: Nautilus' file copy dialog cannot be opened again after closing because it does not use the app indicator system
** Description changed: - In 12.10 and before, when you copy files in Nautilus, a window title + In 12.10 and before, when you copy files in Nautilus, a window titled File Operations will open to show you the progress, and to offer a button to stop the operation. You could close this window by clicking on the X and an icon will pop up in the system tray notifying you that the file copy operation is still ongoing. If you clicked on it, the File Operations window will reopen. In 13.04, due to Ubuntu removing the system tray whitelist, once you close the File Operations window, you can't open it again because the icon no longer shows up in system tray as it probably doesn't use the app indicator system. [Bug 1191585] Re: Crash when exporting photos to a directory
So it turns out that this is only reproducible when I'm running low on memory. I rather optimistically run my 8Gb laptop without swap and while trying to reproduce this again tonight I noticed that at the point of the crash, the whole machine grinds to a halt and I got some OOM killer spew in dmesg. I killed off some memory hogs (2x 2Gb firefox etc.), and reran the shotwell export and it completed successfully. So sorry I guess this is arguably PEBKAC. Though, I'm only trying to export 71 photos which are 127Mb of data when in JPEG format so I'm a little surprised shotwell needs as much memory as it apparently does. If that's not a known issue, I may try and re-run this monitoring the shotwell process to see it's peak memory usage during the export. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to shotwell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1191585 Title: Crash when exporting photos to a directory To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/shotwell/+bug/1191585/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1018718] Re: columns width redrawn by multiple events
I see this too with Nautilus 3.6.3 in Saucy. I can reliably reproduce this bug like this: 1. Start Nautilus. 2. Go to the /etc folder in list view. On a typical machine this directory will have a few hundred files. 3. Make sure you're displaying the default set of columns (Name, Size, Type, Modified). 4. Now move the window, or resize it, or right click on any file to open a context menu. The columns will jump around. I originally filed this upstream at https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=698970, but then I realized I could reproduce this only in Ambiance, not Adwaita. So I believe this problem is theme-related. ** Bug watch added: GNOME Bug Tracker #698970 https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=698970 ** Also affects: ubuntu-themes (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1018718 Title: columns width redrawn by multiple events To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/1018718/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
