[Bug 1192054] [NEW] Logitech g930 randomly loses sound capability.

2013-06-18 Thread Cody Uhlrich
Public bug reported:

I am attempting to assist a friend in diagnosing their ubuntu 13.04 with
pulse. They have a Logitech g930 headset that worked fine when they are
on their Windows machine (completely separate system) however, when she
plugs it into her laptop (Ubuntu) it will work fine for a while, and
then randomly drops.

If she goes to the output devices screen, clicks the headset icon, then
goes back to her music/movie/whatever the sound returns.

Any assistance on this would be great.

[Bug 178050] Re: Feature request: save history

2013-06-18 Thread Thomas Hotz
When is this wish going to be fulfilled?

From the bug:

We want this for GIMP, too - but someone has to write the code for it.
Right now, it is not as easy as just save the undo history into the file if
you're not keen on having multi-gigabyte XCF files :)

If you plan to work on this feature, you could join the gimp-developer mailing
list and our IRC channel.

[Bug 1192100] [NEW] Add bookmark mechanism incorrect in documentation

2013-06-18 Thread Ian Gibbs
Public bug reported:

I wanted to find out how to add a bookmark.

1. I clicked Files Help.
2. I searched for bookmark
3. I clicked on the first result, Edit folder bookmarks
4. The documentation says:

Add a bookmark:
Open the folder (or location) that you want to bookmark.
Click Bookmarks ▸ Add Bookmark.

This is wrong as, there is no Bookmarks menu. I eventually found it
under the settings icon, though that is another story...

[Bug 1192101] [NEW] Fail to expand dialog box

2013-06-18 Thread dino99
Public bug reported:

i only get a one line displayed into a very narrow scrolling box; for example
when i want to choose something with winetricks.
It seems not having any dconf settings by the way to fix that.

The found workaround is to :
- edit /usr/share/zenity/zenity.ui
- and add on the line 1024 : property name=expandTrue/property

After saving that tweak, winetricks dialog box display as expected.

[Bug 1192104] [NEW] Shortcuts very faint / invisible in menus

2013-06-18 Thread Ian Gibbs
Public bug reported:

In the drop down menus that appear when clicking the settings button, or
the down arrow button that is left of it (no idea what it is supposed to
represent), the font used for the shortcuts for active menu options is
so faint as to be invisible - ie I had no idea that they were there.
Only the shortcuts for the inactive menu options are visible. When the
mouse is hovered over a menu option, the color scheme chagnes and the
shortcut becomes visible.

Given the visibility of the disabled options, it is hard to believe this
could have been an intentional design choice.

[Bug 1192020] Re: Nautilus' file copy dialog cannot be opened again after closing because it does not use the app indicator system

** Description changed:

+ In 12.10 and before, when you copy files in Nautilus, a window titled
File Operations will open to show you the progress, and to offer a
button to stop the operation. You could close this window by clicking on
the X and an icon will pop up in the system tray notifying you that the
file copy operation is still ongoing. If you clicked on it, the File
  Operations window will reopen.

In 13.04, due to Ubuntu removing the system tray whitelist, once you
close the File Operations window, you can't open it again because the
icon no longer shows up in system tray as it probably doesn't use the
app indicator system. This means if you close the window, you can no
longer cancel the copy operation and have to wait for it to complete.

[Bug 1163107] Re: Wacom calibration results are off (wrong area)

2013-06-18 Thread Josh Berry
Just checking to see if the calibration is still off for anyone else.
As noted, it seems to be working as desired for me, now. My hunch is
that something has changed the default list of my devices such that the
Touch device is the middle one. The end device is now my Eraser device.
As such, even if it is picked for calibration, I'll get the correct
data.

[Bug 1191585] Re: Crash when exporting photos to a directory

2013-06-18 Thread James Troup
So it turns out that this is only reproducible when I'm running low
on memory. I rather optimistically run my 8Gb laptop without swap and
while trying to reproduce this again tonight I noticed that at the
point of the crash, the whole machine grinds to a halt and I got some
OOM killer spew in dmesg. I killed off some memory hogs (2x 2Gb
firefox etc.), and reran the shotwell export and it completed
successfully.

So sorry I guess this is arguably PEBKAC. Though, I'm only trying to
export 71 photos which are 127Mb of data when in JPEG format so I'm a
little surprised shotwell needs as much memory as it apparently does.

If that's not a known issue, I may try and re-run this monitoring the
shotwell process to see it's peak memory usage during the export.

[Bug 1018718] Re: columns width redrawn by multiple events

2013-06-18 Thread Adam Dingle
I see this too with Nautilus 3.6.3 in Saucy. I can reliably reproduce
this bug like this:

1. Start Nautilus.
2. Go to the /etc folder in list view. On a typical machine this directory
will have a few hundred files.
3. Make sure you're displaying the default set of columns (Name, Size, Type,
Modified).
4. Now move the window, or resize it, or right click on any file to open a
context menu. The columns will jump around.

I originally filed this upstream at
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=698970, but then I realized I
could reproduce this only in Ambiance, not Adwaita. So I believe this
problem is theme-related.
