[Bug 1193229] [NEW] Rhythmbox seeks ahead or crashes when resuming from pause

2013-06-21 Thread Toby Corkindale
Public bug reported:

I'm using Rhythmbox on Ubuntu 13.04.
If I pause the music, wait for a short while, then un-pause the music, it
instead seeks ahead very rapidly, silently. When the current song end is
reached (in just a couple of seconds) it will move to the next track and
rapidly seek straight through it as well.

If I pause again, then wait a few seconds, and un-pause, the player UI
freezes entirely, and I have to use the command line to kill rhythmbox.

[Bug 144881] Re: gnome-system-monitor crashed with SIGSEGV

2013-06-21 Thread Robert Roth
Thank you for reporting this bug to Ubuntu. 7.10 reached EOL on April 18th,
2009.
See this document for currently supported Ubuntu releases:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Releases

I've tried recreating this bug with 12.10 and was unable to, given the
information you've provided. Please upgrade to the latest version and
re-test. If the bug is still reproducible, increase the verbosity of the
steps to recreate it so we can try again.

Do feel free to report any other bugs you may find.

[Bug 880657] Re: stuck retrieving emails from IMAP

2013-06-21 Thread JL
Installed Mint15_64 and Evolution 3.6.4 and similar problem. Evolution
will get stuck trying to retrieve an email. Killing process does not
resolve the problem as the empty window persists - by that I mean the
emails, icons and other functions disappear but the overall window
persists.

Only way I clear it is to log out and back in from the Mint session
completely. It is though related to IMAP and a similar problem occurs
with sync of calendars.

Apologies, but I do not see how to swap protocol to IMAP+ = could be me
missing it as it is late.

Thanks!

[Bug 1032352] Re: Rhythmbox crashes when trying to play internet radio

2013-06-21 Thread Simone
I had the same problem with the same trace starting a web radio by rbox

However my /home directory was under NFS. With this workaround I solved
my situation:

 ~$ cd .cache
 ~/.cache$ cp -a rhytmbox /usr/local/whatever/rhytmbox
 ~/.cache$ mv rhytmbox rhytmbox.bak
~/.cache$ ln -s /usr/local/whatever/rhytmbox

In my case the issue was systematically not occasionally

[Bug 995189] Re: Ejecting network drive causes nautilus to close

2013-06-21 Thread Steve Dodd
Just noticed this on 12.04 too. Looks like a difficult issue, because
there are some situations where closing the window seems to make sense,
e.g. if the window automatically opened when USB/optical media was
inserted. OTOH, if I open a nautilus window by hand, double-click a DAV
share, then eject the share, closing seems the wrong thing to do.

Would it be possible to keep track of the reason the window was
originally opened, and change the behaviour based on that?

[Bug 1193297] [NEW] directory view is not retained. always displays global default view whenever new window is opened

2013-06-21 Thread Alan
Public bug reported:

The directory view attributes (list, icons, etc.) no longer stick to a
directory.

Each time the file browser is opened contents are shown using the
default view characteristics. If characteristics are changed then all
other directories viewed are viewed with those changed characteristics
as long as it is a continuing browsing session.

If the file browser is closed and reopened the view reverts to the
default view regardless whether other characteristics were set in the
previous browsing session.

In all versions prior to 13.04 each directory could be given view
attributes different than default that would persist even if the file
browser was opened and closed multiple times or the system shutdown and
restarted.

[Bug 1193304] [NEW] incorrect default Location provided for destination of compressed file

2013-06-21 Thread Alan
Public bug reported:

If file(s) selected for compression are in a directory with ONLY ONE
subdirectory that one subdirectory is selected as the default location
for the compressed file.

If file(s) selected for compression are in a directory with zero or more
than one subdirectories the directory the file(s) are in is selected as
the default location for the compressed file.

The first case, single subdirectory, is the bug imo. The first case used
to work like the second case, the default Location for file(s)
selected for compression was the directory the files were in.

[Bug 1193400] [NEW] nautilus menus do not show under certain circumstances

2013-06-21 Thread Calvin DeBoer
Public bug reported:

Description:Ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS

launching nautilus as user doesn't show items in the menu bar. i.e File, Edit
all show up, but the dropdown's are empty.
launching nautilus as root show's these items.

Perhaps it has something to do with my user preferences, or user
Bookmarks.

I could not find any other bugs or concerns about this.

[Bug 1082097] Re: Needs icon for high contrast theme

2013-06-21 Thread Jeremy Bicha
Manish, maybe you're still on 13.04 because Mines and Disk Usage
Analyzer have high contrast icons in 13.10. Software Updater will be
fixed in the next release of gnome-themes-standard.

Disks is fixed in 3.8 so we either update to 3.8 (LP: #1092719) or we
can backport the new icons for 13.10.

** No longer affects: gnome-mines (Ubuntu)

** Changed in: gnome-disk-utility (Ubuntu)
   Status: New = Fix Committed

** No longer affects: baobab (Ubuntu)

[Bug 1031449] Re: rhythmbox leaking memory

2013-06-21 Thread Santiago.Batista
I tested the fix. Although I don't claim it fixes all possible memory leaks,
the memory usage is substantially improved.
Using a given set of tracks the leakage went from ~90MB to only 5MB or so (and
it didn't increase past this value).
However, if cover-art is activated, the memory usage can be worse, as it seems
to load every image and keep it in memory. (This is minor though).
