[Bug 1216788] [NEW] #!/usr/bin/python files and similar variants are not shown as executable files
Public bug reported: I'm using Ubuntu 13.10 dev with shared-mime-info 1.1-0ubuntu4. For a few days after upgrading the system I have noticed that python-files aren't shown as executable files anymore. I have already opened a bug report on upstream for this: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=68494 But I'm not sure if this is really a bug in shared-mime-info because after downgrading shared-mime-info, PCManFM and libfm to the versions from Ubuntu 13.04 (libfm-data, libfm-gtk-bin, libfm-gtk-data, libfm-gtk3, libfm3, pcmanfm, shared-mime-info) and rebooting the system the problem still exists. ** Affects: shared-mime-info (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to shared-mime-info in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1216788 Title: #!/usr/bin/python files and similar variants are not shown as executable files To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/shared-mime-info/+bug/1216788/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1217180] [NEW] incorrect usage of notifications
Public bug reported: Rhythmbox notifications appear seperately for each song. For example, clicking the next song several times in quick succession will cause the program to play each song for less than a second. The notifications however, display for several seconds each, resulting in the correct notification appearing significantly after its corresponding song has started playing. [Bug 1203592] [NEW] Keyboard backlight does not work in Samsung Series 9 NP900X4C
You have been subscribed to a public bug: In Ubuntu 13.04, the keyboard backlight does not work in Samsung Series 9 NP900X4C. Adding the FN key mappings as described in https://help.ubuntu.com/community/SamsungSeries9 does show information in the notification area when pressing the keyboard backlight's + and - buttons, but: 1) The notification always identifies the backlight as full max 2) It has no effect on the backlight - it's always off When I first installed Ubuntu on this machine (12.10), even though the fn keys never worked I did have intermitent backlight functionality - the light sensor would sometimes work and I'd see light in the keyboard. I dual boot in Windows 8 and backlighting works there, so this is not a hardware issue. ** Affects: gnome-settings-daemon (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: samsung udev -- Keyboard backlight does not work in Samsung Series 9 NP900X4C https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1203592 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-settings-daemon in Ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
