[Bug 1212621] Re: cannot print duplex
It seems that Fast Draft and double-sided cannot be combined with A4 Borderless on this printer. The GTK print dialog (this is the print dialog of evince) handles this badly: 1. If option settings conflict with others, the other options should not get simply removed from the dialog, instead, each pair of conflicting settings should be marked as such (I think it was this way formerly). 2. Changes in the print dialog to reflect option setting conflicts should appear immediately when selecting the conflicting setting, not only after printing (wasting paper) and re-opening the dialog. karl, Zwylicht, please attach the PPDs of your printers (/etc/cups/ppd/*.ppd) to this bug report (do not compress them and do not pack them together). This way the GTK developers can test the bahavior of the dialog and fix it. ** Package changed: evince (Ubuntu) = gtk+3.0 (Ubuntu) ** Changed in: gtk+3.0 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = High ** Summary changed: - cannot print duplex + Duplex option disappearing in the GTK print dialog -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to evince in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1212621 Title: Duplex option disappearing in the GTK print dialog To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gtk+3.0/+bug/1212621/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1218342] [NEW] g-s-d/g-c-c should not hard code dependency on ibus
Public bug reported: In saucy we have enabled ibus integration in g-s-d/g-c-c, and hard coded the dependency of ibus (= 1.5.0). This is very troublesome for users of other input methods, even though they can disable ibus through im- config. Unnecessary dependency is a hack to ensure upgrade path, which is a bit ugly and should be done in other way. A possible solution is changing Depends to Recommends since apt honors it by default. ** Affects: gnome-control-center (Ubuntu) Importance: High Status: New ** Affects: gnome-settings-daemon (Ubuntu) Importance: High Status: New ** Also affects: gnome-control-center (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: gnome-control-center (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = High ** Summary changed: - gnome-settings-daemon should not hard code dependency on ibus + g-s-d/g-c-c should not hard code dependency on ibus -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-settings-daemon in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1218342 Title: g-s-d/g-c-c should not hard code dependency on ibus To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-control-center/+bug/1218342/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1218472] [NEW] Gucharmap: Languages List Is Too Narrow
Public bug reported: Gnome Character Map's list of available languages (scripts) is too narrow to view them normally (see attached screenshot). It can be widened by dragging separator bar but the application does not remember its position. So when restarted it shows the same extremely narrow list of languages. In earlier versions of Ubuntu it worked (i.e. the application remembered separator slider's position set by user) but for several last Ubuntu releases it seems to be broken. Please fix it as I use this app quite often, and the necessity to adjust the list width each time I start it drives me crazy! [Bug 1218507] [NEW] After user switch it's impossible to login, must reboot PC
Public bug reported: I am running Ubuntu 13.04 x64. I recently added a 2nd monitor to my PC. I also have 3 accounts on my PC, and I regularly switch between them. What happens: Once I added the 2nd monitor, I started having this problem: I am in one account, I go to the account switch options (on the top right, Lock/Switch account) and select a new account. What happens next is that the screen flashes and shows me the desktop for the new account, but it does not prompt me to log in, the Enter your password window is nowhere to be seen, all I see is the desktop for the new account. I can move the mouse around, but nothing I click responds, and the keyboard is non responsive either. It happens on a daily basis, and the only option I have is to force reboot the machine, there is no way out once I get into this state. What I expect to happen: When I switch accounts: * I should be prompted the password for the new account I want to log in * the desktop for the new account should not flash (this is a privacy issue) - even when things work and I get the prompt for the new account, I also get a flash of the desktop before the Enter your password window appears I have an i7-3770K with the integrated graphics card, no dedicated video card. And, as mentioned, this only started happening once I added the 2nd monitor. lsb_release -rd Description:Ubuntu 13.04 Release:13.04 ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 13.04 Package: nautilus 1:3.6.3-0ubuntu16 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.8.0-29.42-generic 3.8.13.5 Uname: Linux 3.8.0-29-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.9.2-0ubuntu8.3 Architecture: amd64 Date: Thu Aug 29 09:49:06 2013 ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/nautilus InstallationDate: Installed on 2013-04-26 (125 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail - Release amd64 (20130424) MarkForUpload: True ProcEnviron: LANGUAGE=en_CA:en PATH=(custom, user) XDG_RUNTIME_DIR=set LANG=en_CA.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: nautilus UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) ** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug raring -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1218507 Title: After user switch it's impossible to login, must reboot PC To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/1218507/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
