[Bug 1212621] Re: cannot print duplex

2013-08-29 Thread Zwylicht
Something is going strange here. I remove ~/.config/evince. Everything
goes right. After a while, the duplex option vanishes, I only can print
one-sided. Also the quality option Fast Draft is vanished. I remove
~/.config/evince again. Things are working again. And so forth.

As I just figured out this behaviour appears after switching from A4
to A4 Borderless. After printing the options vanished when the
printing dialogue is called next time. Switching back to A4 and
printing something, next time calling the printing dialogue the options
are available again.

[Bug 1218228] Re: Please update to openjpeg-2.0.0

2013-08-29 Thread Qichang Liang
So can we still upgrade to 2.0.0 ourselves in Ubuntu and ignore the
Debian? Because the icc-profile feature which is only available in 1.5
and 2.0 is missing on the current 1.3 package in ubuntu, and packages
such as darktable and gimp would immensely benefit from the icc-profile
feature.

Also, 1.5.1 is already available at debian-experimental

[Bug 1212621] Re: cannot print duplex

2013-08-29 Thread Till Kamppeter
It seems that Fast Draft and double-sided cannot be combined with A4
Borderless on this printer. The GTK print dialog (this is the print
dialog of evince) handles this badly:

1. If option settings conflict with others, the other options should not
get simply removed from the dialog, instead, each pair of conflicting
settings should be marked as such (I think it was this way formerly).

2. Changes in the print dialog to reflect option setting conflicts
should appear immediately when selecting the conflicting setting, not
only after printing (wasting paper) and re-opening the dialog.

karl, Zwylicht, please attach the PPDs of your printers
(/etc/cups/ppd/*.ppd) to this bug report (do not compress them and do
not pack them together). This way the GTK developers can test the
bahavior of the dialog and fix it.

** Package changed: evince (Ubuntu) = gtk+3.0 (Ubuntu)

** Changed in: gtk+3.0 (Ubuntu)
   Importance: Undecided = High

** Summary changed:

- cannot print duplex
+ Duplex option disappearing in the GTK print dialog

This bug was fixed in the package upower - 0.9.21-3

upower (0.9.21-3) unstable; urgency=low

  * Add 00git_updates.patch to update to today's upstream git:
- Fix batteries which report capacity, but not energy/charge
- Add temperature property for batteries
- Fix warning in up_device_supply_get_design_voltage
- Make GetHistory() array order consistent

upower (0.9.21-2) unstable; urgency=low

  [ Martin Pitt ]
  * debian/rules: Run dh_install with --fail-missing to avoid forgetting about
some scripts.
  * debian/rules: Explicitly set systemd util dir, to avoid build-depending on
systemd.
  * debian/upower.install: Install notify-upower.sh. (LP: #1196752)

  [ Michael Biebl ]
  * debian/patches/always_use_pm-utils_backend.patch: Always use the pm-utils
backend, even if logind is running. The availability of logind does not
necessarily imply, that systemd is running (in a recent enough version),
which is required for a successful suspend/hibernate.

[Bug 381587] Re: You can not select audio hardware in Empathy for sip/ekiga calls

2013-08-29 Thread Christian Gramsch
The bug is expired, but the problem is still existing in all current
releases. This bug is not incomplete. You could consider it being a
feature-request, but it is just a must-hav-feature for any VoIP-client
and so VoIP-integration is absolutely useless without that function.
There is no way to choose which audio-device shall be used for any VoIP-
communication in Empathy.

[Bug 1218342] [NEW] g-s-d/g-c-c should not hard code dependency on ibus

2013-08-29 Thread Aron Xu
Public bug reported:

In saucy we have enabled ibus integration in g-s-d/g-c-c, and hard coded
the dependency of ibus (= 1.5.0). This is very troublesome for users of
other input methods, even though they can disable ibus through im-
config.

Unnecessary dependency is a hack to ensure upgrade path, which is a bit
ugly and should be done in other way. A possible solution is changing
Depends to Recommends since apt honors it by default.

Public bug reported:

Ubuntu Gnome 13.10 as of 2013-08-29. The feature of text wrapping is not

[Bug 977866] Re: no sound while playing music from a gvfs mounted samba share

2013-08-29 Thread Gérald Maruccia
Same problem here with ubuntu 13.04 and Rhythmbox 2.98.

Shares folders are auto-mounted via fstab and cifs.

VLC reads fine the same distant files and folders.

DAAP shares (inside RB) look to work - when they appear on the local
network which is not always true, most of the time I have to manually
connect to the distant DAAP share using IP adress.

[Bug 1218472] [NEW] Gucharmap: Languages List Is Too Narrow

2013-08-29 Thread Kom-Si
Public bug reported:

Gnome Character Map's list of available languages (scripts) is too narrow to
view them normally (see attached screenshot). It can be widened by dragging
separator bar but the application does not remember its position. So when
restarted it shows the same extremely narrow list of languages.
In earlier versions of Ubuntu it worked (i.e. the application remembered
separator slider's position set by user) but for several last Ubuntu releases
it seems to be broken.
Please fix it as I use this app quite often, and the necessity to adjust the
list width each time I start it drives me crazy!

[Bug 1218507] [NEW] After user switch it's impossible to login, must reboot PC

2013-08-29 Thread Quico
Public bug reported:

I am running Ubuntu 13.04 x64. I recently added a 2nd monitor to my PC.
I also have 3 accounts on my PC, and I regularly switch between them.

What happens:

Once I added the 2nd monitor, I started having this problem: I am in one
account, I go to the account switch options (on the top right,
Lock/Switch account) and select a new account. What happens next is
that the screen flashes and shows me the desktop for the new account,
but it does not prompt me to log in, the Enter your password window is
nowhere to be seen, all I see is the desktop for the new account. I can
move the mouse around, but nothing I click responds, and the keyboard is
non responsive either. It happens on a daily basis, and the only option
I have is to force reboot the machine, there is no way out once I get
into this state.

What I expect to happen:

When I switch accounts:
   * I should be prompted the password for the new account I want to log in
   * the desktop for the new account should not flash (this is a privacy issue)
- even when things work and I get the prompt for the new account, I also get a
flash of the desktop before the Enter your password window appears

I have an i7-3770K with the integrated graphics card, no dedicated video
card. And, as mentioned, this only started happening once I added the
2nd monitor.

[Bug 1200006] Re: appmenu-gtk support dropped, but unity-gtk-module doesn't work outside unity

I saw that there was some discussion of this on the Ubuntu developer list back
in July:
http://comments.gmane.org/gmane.linux.ubuntu.devel/37604

Was a decision ever made about what to do about this on KDE? Could the
patch be added back into GTK and the appmenu-gtk package be readded for
13.10 before feature freeze?

[Bug 689880] Re: Clicking on a link hangs gnome-terminal until the server responds

2013-08-29 Thread Rafał Ochmański
I'm having this problem in raring right now. Although I'm not sure what
is causing the delay (there's a good half a minute between clicking a
link and the browser trying to open it).
